    Hey all,

I noticed there's a great video blackjack machine at Mirage. The Playboy one (I swear I was only looking at it for the paytables) pays 3:2 and has surrender (hits on S17) and I can play two spots at a time without needing to bet a higher amount. It seems like I'm better off playing one or two $20-25 hands on the weekend rather than a 6:5 game at the same price or $50-100 hands for good rules.

As long as these machines take cards, I should get credit for my play right? The games say no freeplay or points can be earned there, as they usually do, but I assume if it has a card slot it'll add to my theo.

Anyone have any experience playing on these and getting comps? Thanks!

Not sure what kind of comps you'll get on them, but if you're already there on an offer, you might as well put it in. I would guess better comps would come on a live 3:2 game with the same amount wagered, but that is just pure speculation. It could be the opposite.

Also in Sept., I saw a Playboy 3:2 H17 w/surrender at Aria for as cheap as $5.

No points to me would equal no comps. I have no KNOWLEDGE, but that seems to make sense to me.

Certainly an option. I wouldn't be seeking any particular backend comps from the play but it would be weird to me if that doesn't add to your trip theo when frontend comps are calculated for future stays.

I assume it would be similar to how they handle table games. You don't get Express Comp points, but the theo is counted toward your soft comps like your room offers, backend comps, etc. I would ask a host first though, just in case!

About the only way to know 100% would be to play NOTHING when you get there, then play that machine for an hour and then ask a host what was tracked/shown in the system. That will get you the real answer.

True. We'll see what the table minimums are next week and I'll decide which play to make.

That's what I heard from one source at other casino, not Mlife or CET.
It only tracks your win/loss, nothing else.
I tend to believe Mlife does the same.

TBH, probably not going to play it with several people doubting it can earn any comps. If I'm playing for only 4-5 hours at that hotel, losing an hour on this experiment, I could really take a hit to my play

Yeah I don't think there is a need to experiment. Just ask a host if they count the theo from those machines to your comps or not.

That could give you the correct answer. Or it might not. I have seen too many wrong answers from hosts reported here. Not slamming any host, just there is often "more to the story" - or question in this situation. It is way too easy for a host to make an assumption, or hear the question slightly different and answer something else. Again, no slam, but they really do not know ALL the quirks in these systems.

Just to update y'all with what I know: These games can add to your tier credits. I tested that out yesterday playing some small hands on a video blackjack machines (not the one with the ladies, just a generic table display by that iblock company or whatever they're called).

So, small consolation if you care about your card color. Heck, I've been sorely missing the perks of platinum this trip whenever I'm waiting in a line!

Will ask the mLife desk what I can about these machine factor in.

As to missing Plat and line priv... I was noir, then plat and got smart and dropped my play down last year and now ugly gold.... still getting a very good offer for the next trip though. I might waive my OLD card when needed.

This depends upon the casino and the game.
