    My Trip Report

Flew AA Thursday Early morning out my home town to Charlotte and then on Vegas, pretty uneventful flight. Two Vegas Virgins sitting across from me asking tons of questions, I think I got em hooked on craps.

I had a $2000 BR for Craps, BJ, Video Poker..Also had 2 comp nights at the Fremont so I burnt that....I can handle the Fremont not a bad room at all, and all the way at the end on the inside (nice and quite), the Shower just about scalded me to death once it finally warmed up LOL.

I had Family staying at The DT Grand so I headed over there at around noon to grab a bit to eat at Pizza Rock (Yum Yum) Got a big assed beer to !!! (See the pic below). For those of you who haven't tried this place you really need to !!

Not a bad start so far...so we headed across the street to the Grand to play some BJ...fought hard all afternoon and finally called it quits at about 7 and made my way back to the Fremont with some family that were staying there to....Crap Tables were packed, impossible to get on so I wondered out side to take in the sights and snap some pics.

Feeling kinda of tired by then so I hit the sack....Got some good sleep and met the Family back at the Grand at 9:00 (Got there at 7:00 had some coffee and a session of VP that shouldn't even be mentioned on here ugggggg 9\5 JOB bartops.....).

Had tickets to the Mob Museum so we headed over there at about 10:00, this place is must see..cool as hell and it really takes you through the history of the MOB and it's influence on America and the Law's efforts to bring it down, you get sit in the real courtroom were some of the mobsters
were tried, they show a few videos of the actual trials....you can take pics but video is a no no (See Below)

The one above is appropriate for this weekend after that fiasco in the SB (Sorry Pat Fans) Point shaving (Urgggg again) I had the Falcons -3 and under, I really didn't care who won I was just feeling the Falcons pulling it out....not.

We headed back over to the Grand and I had another grinder at the BJ tables (OH well it's Vegas) up and down all afternoon. Finally quit down another $100 and hit the Seafood Buffet at the Fremont..Finally a great session of BJ with some family and some folks from Washington State.I went to a $10 table.I won a bunch of hands straight up and had about 5 BJ's, the best hand of the trip though.... I Split 6's vs a Dealers 5, got another 6 split that then another 6 came !! split that one to.... first hand was a 6,7 stood, second had was a 6,5 doubled that (face down), 3rd hand was 6,4 doubled (face down), that last hand was a 6,K stood there...dealer flipped over a K and then the 10 came...he busted !!! picture perfect..luv it when that happens !! After that session I was back to even and feeling good.BTW my down cards were both Faces !!

Then I headed down to the GG for some Craps, table was cold as hell !! Bam didn't stay there long. I usually have some good luck at GG but not this time.

Back to the Fremont (I never play Roulette) My cousin talked me into playing, she loves it so WTH...got some family time in with her and played for a couple of hours on $40. Hit the sack around 12:00.

The next morning I went to the Grand at around 7:00 for morning coffee and a session of VP..decent session $40 in and some FP, had one nice 5OAK on deuces wild.

While I was there the Crap Table was going wild, I cashed out and walked over to check it out (i never buy in until they switch shooters, but I should have in this case, at least on the come out). They only had one half of the table open and that end was packed,The guy rolled for 57 Min...he was totally on fire hitting point numbers out the wazoo and the players at the table were making bank !!!

Missed out on that one, still kicking my self for that one but at least I didn't mess up that shooters Mojo lol

I ground all day and didn't hit crap...checked out of the Fremont and Moved to the Grand (3 night comp)

Really nice room at the Grand (Gold Spike was a little loud, next time the North tower will be requested) finally a shower that works like it's supposed to !!!

After a great comped Dinner (Rib Eye, Wedge Salad, Baked Potato) at Triple Georges (across from the Grand) I decided to give Craps a go at the Grand and it couldn't have been a better decision, Table was hot, no monster rolls but winning some money. Pass line with odds 6 & 8 (when needed) some hard ways..I don't do a lot of fancy stuff....Nice $350 win for the night finally left after and overly drunk asshole was ruining the night for a few of us...I get it man drink all you want to, but people don't have to be assholes, it is a choice.

After a good rest some more morning session VP and coffee (SB Sunday !!!!) I headed to the Crap Tables again at the Grand, Tables were hot again but it only lasted a short time. One guy had a nice 20 min roll and he was quite the character when he would hit a point, he kept running all over the place high fiving people and even went back in the pit a couple of times, it was funny watching the pit critters chasing him down !!! I didn't roll worth a damn all weekend, I think I hit 2 point numbers...just horrible !!! (I haven't had a decent roll on a crap table in a long time I have no idea what the hell is going on)

Hit the sports book and placed some prop bets and my game bet and we had tickets to the Viewing party at the Grand Fremont room...nice spread, free open bar, wings, sliders, nachos and some great give away's really nice set up. Had a blast and my hats off to the crew at the Grand, I have read some negative things about this place but to me they were great this this time !!!

Well at the end of the game I started coughing and sneezing like hell and knew right then that I had caught a nasty cold, I went to bed around 7 after a trip to Walgreens and slept till 10 the next morning (felt like a damn truck hit me !!! Still felt pretty bad Monday but I trudged through and decided to go over to the D and play some Bubble Craps (best way I could think of to keep from spreading that crap everywhere, I even asked the waitress to wipe the machine down when I was done because I didn't want to give that crap to anyone, not even the drunk asshole from the other night..lol) Hit really good on Bubble Craps walked with $200....

Met some Family at Pizza Rock for supper and while we were there the damn fire alarm went off and we had to clear out......I was still feeling sick so I just hit the sack at about 7 about $100 down for the trip and I had an early flight....next morning I checked out and took a cab with some others to the airport..flight going home was uneventful (I actually felt decent)..Back to work now but we will be back next year for the Super Bowl and hopefully my Cowboys will be there (if they can win a playoff game !!)

Always a great time meeting folk from all over the world (my favorite part of Vegas) I hope everyone has a great time while they are in Vegas, love reading all of your trip reports !! Cant wait till next time !!

    Richard,
I have read some negative stuff about the Grand since it opened, personally I had a great experience and our Host (Delmar) was fantastic. We got a lot of comps and he hooked us up !!! Of course I was in the company of some heavy gamblers and that always helps !!

Thanks for the report! I've become a big fan of DTG, and have stayed there my last 3 trips. I hate the Vegas cold. I had a cough I couldn't shake for 3 1/2 weeks after returning from my last Vegas trip.
