Does the higher tier last only a year like the Total Rewards Visa card? It was nice having Platinum when it actually meant something. Now at some of there properties like Caesars it's just like gold.

Seems like the card is only for US citizens. We Canucks seem to be out of luck.

I get a kick how one of the modern reactions to minor irritants is to simply get yet another credit card.

I have no interest in getting a credit card for parking. I take credit cards and credit score more seriously.

Why is it wrong to "play the system"? Get the CET visa card and the Mlife MasterCard. Grab you $100 and throw them in a drawer. No annual fee, free parking, line cutting.
It's too easy. They play games with us. We should play games with them.

The Total Rewards Visa isn't really that great of a deal anymore. You need $5000 spent to maintain Platinum each year. It used to be automatic Platinum. That is almost like an "annual fee" to take advantage of its main benefit. I know $5000 isnt much in the grand scheme of things but other credit cards point offerings are just too much better than to throw $5000 away for 1x points on that Total Rewards Visa.

How much value does Platinum really offer

Theoretically, if you took that $5,000 and gambled it (perfectly) on a low volatility, 9/6 JoB game @ Cromwell, you could probably earn Diamond without losing much (if anything) and reap greater benefits. Then take that money and open a credit card that earns 3% cash back (Chase Freedom, Chase Sapphire Reserve, Discover, etc) and make your money back. Heck, the sign-up bonus alone might make up the difference.

At $50 coin in/tier credit, that would be $250,000 coin in and a $1,150 expected loss to get diamond assuming you used the tier credit bonuses. It would also only take you 200 hours assuming you're playing at a solid 1000 hands/hour.

    I'd rather go to jail.

Here's how truly Park MGM for FREE, um MGM get their shit straight and not to charge!!!!!! This so called mlife credit offers really no value at all...if you compare to other credit cards out there it's ranking sucks so bad... my chase credit cards offers 10 times better value. IMHO I'm really shocked people actually using this card. Sorry if my opinion on mlife card doesn't agree with some of you...I just wanna give my 2 cents. :goofy:

Haha, fair! I think there's a full pay 9/6 or 9/5 at Planet Hollywood. Believe me, I thought Diamond was impossible, but I got it so quickly last year with a total of maybe 50-60 hours of gambling across the year (3 Vegas trips, 4 trips to Atlantic City).

Last trip I parked at the Tropicana. Did my thing at the Trop and then walked over to the M Life properties. If The Tropicana becomes over parked then they will have to start charging too.

Uh, I'm sure it's $10 coin in per tier credit for VP.

You're right, but the 9/6 VP machines at Cromwell pay 1 credit for every 50 dollars coin-in

Yeah, most VP games at CET properties that are 99.5% or better are either $25 or $50 a tier point depending on location. :( I think Caesars AC Double Joker with double progressive royal (99.91%+prog.) is still $10 a point though.

According to the credit card sign up terms: "M life Rewards Tier will remain at least Pearl Status as long as your account remains open and in good standing." No minimum spend unlike the Caesars Total Rewards Card that requires $5000 spend each calendar year to maintain Platinum status.
