Does anyone know when the pay for valet will start? Do registered guests at the resort have to pay for valet or just day non-registered guests?

    Thanks!

    Hi All,
We are booked at the Wynn end of February. They are starting to charge for valet parking starting some time this month. We are staying in a Tower Suite section of the hotel which means we have a separate valet and check in. I contacted the Wynn and asked if they were still going to charge those who had reservations made prior to the change and they said yes. It's $18 a day which isn't the end of the world but for some reason it really bugs me to have to pay it.

It bugs you for the same reason it bugs me along with resort fees. It's nothing more than a way to raise the hotel fees without actually raising them. I'm so tired of companies (not just in Vegas) thinking everyone is stupid and falls for their tricks (too many do). We normally stay at Aria, sometimes we take the cheap room, sometimes we pay more but it's my choice. I would feel much better if instead of telling me the cheap room is $79 + $39 + $15 if they would just tell me the room was $133.

I will give MGM more credit than the others that have announced the valet fees. First they said that anyone who is Pearl or better on MLife doesn't pay, Pearl is almost ridiculously simple to achieve so if you are even half way paying attention you can avoid the fee. Second they at least made an attempt to be honest when they started this parking fee craze. They said in their release that they needed to build a parking structure for the arena and they didn't want to pay for it so they were charging parking. They also installed those cool parking spot lights in all of their self park garages.
