So it looks like the newest Casino on the strip (well, almost on the strip?) is open for business and initial reviews from the usual blogs are positive:

    http://vitalvegas.com/lucky-dragon-casino-opens-las-vegas/

    http://www.vegasbright.com/2016/11/21/lucky-dragon-las-vegas-open/

Early highlights include 3:2 BJ and good VP tables. Downside is no craps. Then again, if you're into craps and not playing at Casino Royale, I don't know what to tell you. :p

For those of you in town over the next few weeks, I'm interested to hear your thoughts on the gaming, restaurants, and accommodations.

If anybody has gone -- What are the VP paytables like, and how many decks are the BJ games?

Well it's good to get this over from the "casino development" thread to this one. Looking forward to stopping by over Xmas.

Digging those cocktail waitresses. They're sure to get a decent amount of "creepy white guy" gamblers in there, in addition to the Asian market [emoji14]

I really am interested in checking the place out but quite frankly, it seems a bit out of the way. If it had a larger hotel tower, I might be able to see it from my room at the Venetian right now. Maybe I'm lazy, maybe I'm old, but I'm content hanging around this immediate area right now. I still have 2 more days so maybe I'll make it out there.

It's an effort to get to t mobile arena Tuesday at 5:30pm when the NHL Vegas team will be announcing their team name and logo. I will try to make it there but I have to be back for a show at 7 so have to leave right away. I'm hoping to at least get a shirt or something at the event.

went to check it out yesterday (11-21-2016): its very nice (its new), chinese-themed (lots of "red" used in their decor), number "4" is lacking (unlucky chinese number), emphasis on number "8" (lucky chinese number), beautiful chandelier (288 glass balls, per vital vegas blog), built on 3 acres of land (per vital vegas) its a small property, think of casino built in a circle-concept (which it is) with bar in the center along with several table games and to which takes about 8.5 minutes to take a slow walk around the casino floor taking your time and absorbing the machines placed on the outside circle, eating place 1 (would not call it a restaurant) is called Bao Now one can order small chinese-type food items priced from $6-15 (photo I took came out very blurry cannot read it), and eating place 2 can be described as "Panda-type food" (cafeteria setting) setup one orders already-cooked food go down the line pick all you want and pay at the end then find your seat and table (this is where cafeteria idea enters in).

I mostly play VP (terrible, only 8/5) few machines scattered in several places (if you are a machine jumper like me you start to walk into each other every 10 minutes with same vp players), caught an inside straight flush but ended up losing overall, most vp on the bar (but angle glare from above chandelier is terrible), some multi-games which I cannot handle, tried dollar wheel of fortune where I won 25 and 75 but it cost me 100 to get the bonus rounds so broke even. sorry, I am not familiar with table games but they were empty. Cannot remember seeing any crap game.

tried to cash out $70 where I had put a $100 from a vp machine and message came up "hand pay call attendant", person next to me and I were joking, wow what if I had hit a royal, the casino would be bankrupt..

plenty of penny games, several high limit coves on the outside circle. a brand new casino so I thot machine might be a little looser but did NOT hit any big life-changer gambling-wise, but maybe its waiting for you, good luck and go for it.

anyway, that was a nice distraction from my normal LV routine, I enjoyed it..

Missed it by a week. Doh!

No craps table though? Yikes, they are really committed to their theme.

Do they have Sic-Bo? Fan Tan? Maejong tiles?

I know they have BJ and baccarat.

Went on Wednesday. Overall, impressed. One disappointment was the food at Dragon Court. Played 5/8 V P at the bar. Good, friendly service. Had Tanquray gin compared. Broke even.

Well, no craps is the deal breaker. Was gonna visit even though it's not in an ideal location of the Strip but now I don't see any reason to.

Anyone know why they decided not to have any craps tables? I know it's Asian themed and aimed at the Asian market so do the casinos in Asia not have craps tables also?

My trip was before it opened but I'm guessing space limitations made them choose to skip things like craps. My decision to visit will be all about the food, I think.

I might check it out still, but by the sounds of it I may just go for food and steer clear of the gaming.
