I'm heading out to lake Tahoe for a weekend trip next month and was offered $1250 in promotional chips (the lose till you lose type) but am not sure what I can use them to play on to maximize their value.

Assuming I can exchange those chips for slot free play, would you do that and why? I would think that keeping the chips to use on tables would be more valuable because I can continue to bet them until I lose the wager, but if there's a different opinion is like to learn.

If the suggestion is to change for slot play, then what? As some of you may know I'm a table game player so I have no understanding of slots or VP machines and what are good to play on. I don't mind a high variance machine, one that'll pay a nice HP, so any suggestions?

I'll be staying at Harrahs Lake Tahoe if that makes a difference.

I am somewhat in the same predicament, except that I'm a 99% slot player.

I will have $1700 in promo chips at Harrahs Lake Tahoe after cashing in. I was preparing to hold them until 2017 since I'm effectively "done" playing at CET this year.

1)If I can change them directly to Free Play, I will, otherwise
2)I will play Blackjack at $50-$100/hand (increment set beforehand), and play, pocketing the winnings.

I also believe that there's a limitation on what you can use the Free Play chips for.(even money bets only), so I'm not sure that they can be used at a Craps table on Odds bets. (I will find out this weekend and let you know more)

When I'm done, I will cash in and play slots.
