On my trip last week shot craps with Chris Mills NBA forward played with the Knicks a year or two. Nice guy poor shooter
Dr. J on my flight to Vegas sitting across from me in the exit row. Vince Neil on my husband's flight from LAS to ATL. He asked if my husband could switch with him (both in first class) so he could sit next to his wife. People were asking if they could take his pic, politely said "no". (it was 6am but people probably thought he was an ass for it) Brad Garrett on flight LAS to ATL. Both times they were behind him and recognized their voice. I saw Wayne Gretzky, his wife and what must have been some other hockey players at Olives. Barry Manilow walking through the casino at Paris (after a show though) I am sure many, many other that I wasn't paying attention to.
Ran into Chef Anne Burrell from the Food Network at Aria over the weekend. She was super nice and stopped and took a picture with me!
We saw Giada De Laurentiis of the Food Network eating with friends at Guy Fieri's restaurant at the Linq. In fact, she touched my buddy's shoulder as she walked by and said hi. I don't think he has washed his shirt since.
I got a picture with Reverend Run from RUNDMC at the Venetian...he was playing casino war with his wife. His wife took the picture. Saw Larry Flynt in his golden wheelchair in July at the Venetian.
I was talking to Iron Chef Symon at Cromwell a couple weeks ago. He denied it was him. Think he said his name was Roger Murdoch (Airplane reference).
Cher walking through Flamingo, Sylvester Stallone filming a movie on Freemont, Mike Tyson having dinner at Monte Carlo.
I've had the chance to say hello to the following: Carrot Top Vince Neil Wayne Brady Ike Barinholtz All were quite nice and at least gave a friendly hello and/or handshake. Also, does Frankie Scinta count? I actually know him from his pre-Vegas days when they were regulars at Bonnie Castle Resort in the 1000 Islands. He actually ended up in my apartment one night for an after hours. I've run into him a few times in Vegas since then, and he's kind enough to pretend to remember me when I re-introduce myself.
Played on the same craps table with David Duchovny and the old dude from Chicago Fire at Caesar's last year.
I was reading at the Aria pool earlier this week and i see this stunning woman all dressed up checking out the place, i was like wow she looks so much like Heidi Klum What do i see online the day after ?Well damn it it was her she was in town. http://robinleach.reviewjournal.com/article/photos-heidi-klum-attends-cirque-du-soleils-mystere-at-t-i/ Im still kicking myself over it for not getting a picture, she was all alone no kids/boyfriend/security
I hear ya, VegasQC. When I told my wife I was waiting in line at the Hudson News in McCarran behind Britney Spears she didn't believe me but the Star Magazine had a big spread about her in Vegas that weekend. Britney was all alone, too. Same with Lauren Hutton, she was alone in the High Roller VP room at Mirage just checking things out. But this topic reminded me that we saw Alan Thicke at Guy Savoy a few years ago. Sad.
The wife and I saw Michael Cudlitz at the Heart Bar in Planet Hollywood a couple days ago. He played Abraham on The Walking Dead. It was a cool sighting for us.
For those who are truly well known and mentioned here, I recognize the names and would probably recognize them on the street. For things like rappers and so-called celebrity deejays, no way! However, I've been doing Las Vegas more or less regularly since the 1970s and I'm hard pressed to think of running into a true celebrity there, those that were not on stage, that is.
