Loving the report! What do the progressive suits look like Harold on DDB and are they on DW also? (If you don't mind looking) Thanks

Here are the games with the suited royal progressives (only at quarters). No DW. Looks like the progressives are all at the same value though, regardless of game type being played. Right now in the $1100-1400 range.

Back at GC. Have a couple hours to pass before some more Star Trek to wrap up the weekend. Moving into grind mode on quarters.

When holding 4 to an outside straight, am I the only one who insists on holding the cards sequentially from low to high?

Ugh...reminds me of my last trip. But a lady hit a royal ~3 minutes later to reset the progressive I was chasing...D'Oh!

Good run though! Have a safe trip home!

Unfortunately, I think the progressive suit quarter royals are 8/5 at DDB (96.79% base). I vaguely recall suggesting that my g/f to play 7/5 Bonus (98.01%) instead of DDB last year. If it was 9/5 DDB (97.87% base), I wouldn't have insisted her playing Bonus. I played 9/5 JoB (98.45% base) at the bars myself because I usually let math help make my VP variant choices. I also dabbled in some 50c 9/6 JoB (99.54%) at the bars. If you're really into DDB though, I would be more tempted to tip a cocktail waitress well. 9/6 DDB (98.98%) is readily available on the floor for quarters+ at GC.

Back at home. Redeye > Delta Mess > Work > Sleep.

Comprehensive report and summary to follow, probably this weekend?

Overall, though: Great trip, lots of good hits, the Star Trek convention was awesome (more pictures and commentary to follow), and I thoroughly enjoyed the Gold Coast. I've always been a fan of the strip, but that may change on future trips. Heck, it's only a $6 Uber from GC to the Aria...I'll also run the math to see where I ended up as far as bank roll, stats on this trip, and where I stand this year as far as gambling expenses vs. comps, etc.

Thanks for following along, and I'll get a day-by-day, thorough trip report up in the near future!

Alright. I have a 6-pack of Sweetwater 420 sitting next to me and some tunes cranked up. Time to finally work on the more "formal" day-by-day TR. Will write up in Word, and hope to post in bulk sometime tomorrow. Never done this before so not sure how long it'll take!

The con definitely covers all of the Treks, from the original straight through JJ Trek. They do it really well, and have a great assortment of panels from all of the series - not catering specifically to any single show. They even had some discussion on the most recent Movie (which I thought was great, IMO), and Star Trek Discovery (the new official series launching on CBS All Access in January...pumped!). I'm also a much bigger fan of the TNG/DS9/Voyager era, but the Original Series panels are still great entertainment. Plus, they have 2 different stages, plus a vendors room, so lots to be entertained by if you do end up finding a panel you're not actually interested in in the main theater.

If you like Trek, and if you've never been before, I highly recommend it. Next year is Next Gen's 30th. August 2-6th, 2017. Be there!!
