    Keno,

What I know is that the VIP lounge is discretionary, even if you pay for a penthouse level room at Bellagio, along with chairman's lounge access, airport transportation and several other things which we did not have!

    VW,
Thank you for your thoughtful comments. I know I certainly enjoyed your recent trip report and was reading portions of it to my wife before our trip.

From your countdown timer, it looks like you will be getting back to Vegas sooner than us. We are next heading to Disney for Halloween week.

Funny, we did Disney last year for fall break! Kids loved Mickey's Halloween Party.

This year we're dumping them at the grandparents' for a week, while we do adults only Vegas. I can't wait!!!

Hugs to you on the loss of your son. I can understand the Mother's Day item you referred to. I had two miscarriages (not as bad as your situation), one of which would have been a Christmas time birth. Numerous Christmases were very trying for me. I healed a bit when my daughter was born several years later on 12/29. But it still hits me that there should be another that I am buying a gift for each year.

Your girls are beautiful and their photos made me smile. As you can see from my pic, I enjoy the dolphins too!!!

Jgates, how nice to get your mssg yesterday, it was his birthday. Thank you for sharing some of your story, too. I'll show your reply to my wife after I finish typing this.

    And I like your avatar!
    Take care.

I too lost a baby in October, which would have been born this June. However, I got pregnant again 2 weeks later and had my daughter in July. No way would she have happened if I had still been pregnant.

Thank you for the trip report! I also turned 50 at the end of July (29th), but my daughters are in their 20s now so it makes it lots easier to take them to Vegas (and is less work for me) now. Can't wait to hear about your next trip!

What a fantastic trip report and pictures. I agree with you about the fact that there are plenty of things to do in Vegas with kids. Last month, I took my 9 year old step son to Vegas, since he kept on asking to go for a few years, after listening to me brag about it constantly. He had a great time hanging out by the pool, and doing different shows, like Tournament of Kings( and of course the arcade, lol), Blue Man Group and Jeff Civillico, who puts on a really fun, kid friendly show. But that was a one time thing for us. We decided, even though he had a blast, we need to do Vegas only as a couple. We missed going to more adult themed shows, like comedy clubs, Jennifer Lopez, etc. And just hanging out in the casino together, gambling and having drinks. Just can't do that with the kids. I ended up in the casino by myself every night. And could the mariachi band you mentioned be named " The Kings of Cuervo"?

Cowabunga, you did it. That is the mariachi group, thank you. We were able to search for them after reading your reply.

And I understand your sentiment about bringing your son. As you can see from my countdown timer, my wife and I just arranged for a quick two night trip back to Vegas by ourselves for next week! Two nights are better than nuthin!

    Big P,
Friends have asked us this over the years, and we've come to the conclusion that he's not really ours to give. He helps us out of consideration for his real client, as a favor to them. ..and us!
