Hrm. Upon closer analysis, I believe I misspoke earlier. I no longer believe that the 10 of spades doesn't like me - but instead that the 5 of spades is a total a-hole.

And your comments about the GC are right on esp about cell phone reception.RedZone bar is a blackout area but if you go by the doors back there it picks up..

 

I'll add another comment about GC.... $8 breakfast buffet FTW. I started to catch on to the good/bad areas of reception this morning, so thanks for the tip. Good to know going forward.

Let It Ride was great. Was a so-so session for about 30 mins, playing solo. Had bought in for 200, was down a bit and contemplating coloring up and walking. I had put out the "okay, one more bet before I go" bet, at the $10 minimum. Right before the deal, the pit boss came over and said something to the effect of "hold on, I got the lucky cards." ..."ahh, the lucky cards at long last" replies the dealer. She (the dealer) then told me it'd be a bit, while the cards got switched out. I wasn't in any hurry, so just enjoyed my drink for a few minutes, contemplating leaving even more so, equating this to the dice flying off the craps table.

But. I took a left turn instead. Lucky cards, you say? Alright. Let's run with that. So I did what any logical person would do, and pressed my bet big time.



(Dollar bet up top and a $5 bonus bet for myself and a $5 bonus bet for the dealer were paid out as well, but moved before I thought to take a picture.)

 

Nice..I bet you were just pleased as the ten came out for two pair,then boom! And bumping up the bet on the new cards,ballsy..pretty cool it worked out!

 

Enjoying the trip report! Not so keen on the 'kiss your sister Royals' though. Get one for real!!!

 

Oh man, it was hilarious. It was late, I was solo at the table, not many folks were at any of the tables were around me. It was a relatively quiet casino environment, all things considered.

When she flipped the queen, I exploded. A couple random strangers who were walking by on the other side of the pit stopped, looked at me befuddled then circled around to see what had happened. I'll enumerate further in he post trip "formal" report...
