Overall best players club CET or Mlife?

I normally stay and play in downtown. Most of my points are on my Bconnected card at Boyds and I've been quite loyal to them the last 6 years. I just got back from 4 nights on the strip, I stayed two nights at Harrahs and two at NYNY. Both stays had their good and bad, I really didn't like having to pay for parking on top of the resort fee at NYNY! I'm not a High Roller by any means, I gamble maybe $200-300 a day. My question here is simple, which club would be most beneficial for me and my level of play CET or Mlife? If at all. Thanks.

 

CET favors low rollers, especially those who play slots. Look for some sort of offer based on your play and look at the rate calendar for discounted rooms.

 

In general, Milife is geared towards Table players, CET is geared towards Slot players as another poster said. YMMV.
CET gives better comps IMO, which is why i'm loyal to Caesars, i like free rooms. It's a lot easier to get comps with Caesars.
I think with your bankroll, CET would be more beneficial.

 

Yes with a budget of a few hundred per day, CET/TR is your best bet. You will get free weekday rooms, and probably even some weekends at places like Ballys, Flamingo, Rio, and Harrahs.

And you can play wherever you like since CET doesn't care if you play where you are staying or at a sister property. With the exception of Rio, all CET props are within a 5-15 minute walk of each other.

 

These days, I question the adage that MGM is geared more toward table players, especially since they eliminated EC for table players in Vegas. But that said, I agree that at the OP's level of play, CET is probably better. Only gambling a couple hundred bucks a day, I wouldn't expect too much from either of these companies, so really you should decide where you like staying the best and play there with that program

 

Agree with everyone above.
Additionally, CET is generous with comped rooms upfront then generally expects you to use your earned credits to pay for meals, etc.
They are most generous with slot players.
MLife wants you to charge meals, shows, etc. to room & then will look at your play when you check out to see if they should comp you.
DH & I play poker tournaments (but not usually at CET properties); DH makes some sports bets & we both play .05-.25 VP some. $250/day each budget. When we link our card we are comped at most CET properties (except Cromwell & NOBU) almost all S-TH nights, some weekends.
My mom is strictly VP & slots, similar budget--her comps are a notch up from ours.

 

In 2013 I was a Downtown player and the D was my "home base".
In 2014 I was mLife and was extremely disappointed because Platinum level got me some perks, but IMHO, not enough considering my play.
In 2015 I switched to CET (7*) and have never looked back . . . .

More casinos outside of LV and no "discount" to earning power, better promos and comps for slot players.

IMHO, CET hands down . . .

I just looked at your post again. If your gambling budget is $200-300 per day, I would continue to stay downtown, you will get much better bang for your buck.

 

Agreed, CET is probably better for you. Plus CET comps are easier to use. Just swipe everything like a debt card.
The only advantage the MLife has is they have nicer hotels.

 

There are some nicer and some not as nice. With the remodeling going on (finally) CET properties are getting much better. Like DaiLun said there is more bang for the buck with CET. ..............Rick

 

I gamble a similar budget to you and my play is spread evenly between cet and mlife.. cet gives me better offers..

 

We did about $600 a day between us for a week (wife and I) last October, predominantly Mlife but with a few sessions at CET (Cromwell, Caesars and a longish crawl between the others) and have had similar offers from both. Will be returning to NYNY on a comp for 3 nights with free play and resort credit and Flamingo 3 nights comped. Overall, CET probably has given more on less play but not that great a difference. Seems fairly similar but we don't chase the comps, it's very much a bonus and nice to have! This entire trip is a bonus due to Virgin Airmiles, comped rooms and some winnings from last year.....can't wait to be back!

 

Thanks everyone for the responses. Looks like CET will be getting our business. Personally, I'd rather keep staying and playing in downtown. After 6 years staying on Fremont my wife is bored lol. Does CET give less points for VP rather than straight slots?

 

You mirror my experiences. In 2011, I was NOIR at MGM, but I got almost zilch. Sure I got a room and a bit of freeplay, but nothing like CET.
I dumped MGM and have not played there since. Have been 7* CET and although the benefits keep getting worse and worse, they are still the best. As far as stand alone properties though, I would say that Cosmo is the best with free play.

 

One thing I've noticed, at the risk of getting absolutely blow torched on this site, is that CET is better for comped "normal" rooms, but MLife is better for affordable suites. In other words, at Platinum on CET, I always seem to wrangle a 350 square foot room in Center Strip for free (plus resort fees). But then the suites, even basic 600 footers at Harrah's, can run $700 a night or more...whereas Aria will get me a one bedroom Sky Suite for less than that, and include airport limo and private check in. So I like CET for crash pad purposes, but mLife for special occasions.

 

CET used to be kind to me, but then they went bankrupt and I had a winning trip and the offers largely dried up. For my vacation next month, I'm getting three weeknights comped at PH with $10 food credit and $15 freeplay. Big whoop. MGM is taking over the Borgata in Atlantic City and the Borgata offers me much better comps. If it stays that way, I'll be switching my play to MGM from now on. CET just isn't a good enough deal for my money.

CET for sure, husband and I are both platinum and we get 5 nights comped including weekends all the time usually everywhere but Caesars but even here sometimes. I usually book with the calendar, not offers so don't get the free play or resort credits. Unless I'm doing it wrong.... I always preferred the 5 days including weekends room comped than the free play anyways

 

That's pretty crazy, I didn't think CET had that kind of money anymore.
