If I catch the WAX bus at the airport can I stay on it until it starts to return and get off next to Binion's and across the street from the Fremont Hotel, where I'm staying ?
How long of a ride would this be ?
You see I've COPD and can't walk very far.
    Thanks

This should give you information on the WAX.

    http://www.rtcsnv.com/transit/getting-to-mccarran-airport/

Click on the Westcliff Airport Express to get more details on the WAX including their route and their bus stop schedule.

From the airport you would be taking the Northbound/Westbound (towards suncoast) to go downtown.

From the schedule it looks like a 36 minute ride to downtown but if you are going all the way to the end and back to get off at binions the ride will probably take around 1 hour 40 minutes or more (depends on how long they take their breaks at the end of the line).

btw, if you get off at 4th and carson it is only about 2 blocks to get to the fremont and you will save about an hour but if you want the "scenic" route then you can go all the way to the end and back. Beware that you may have to pay another 2 bucks for the return trip from the end (Suncoast) to binions.

I don't know if they make you get off at the end of the route, or let you stay on; but, it looks to me like 20 or so from 4th and Carson to Suncoast and then 20m back. So I'd guess a forty minute ride. Google has the walk from 4th and Carson (Walgreens) to Fremont at 3min. Have a great trip.

Agree with above. If you can go the 2 blocks get off at 4th and Carson. If you do go to Suncoast and back you could get the $3 - 2 hour pass instead for the trip back. (you may also want to look into the reduced fares if you qualify).

I dont get it, the walk from your gate to the wax bus stop, is prob 5 -10 times longer than the walk from 4th and carson to the fremont?

Seriously - if you use the SE entrance to the Fremont's casino, it's more like 1.5 blocks from the 4th@Carson stop.
The entire walk is essentially the length of 'theD' + about 1/2 the width of 'theD' & you're at that entrance to the Fremont.

According to what I've seen there is a tram from the gate area to baggage pickup so I won't be walking that far.

Robert, I want to stay sensitive to your condition. I dont have COPD but have dealt with a family member that had it. I agree with the people hear that are saying to just get off at walgreens. The walk is not that far. You know your limitations though. I would be concerned with the heat though. I could see how that may limit your mobility. Are you traveling with someone that will be helping you out? I just remembered you will have luggage to worry about also. What about trying Uber? Good luck and enjoy yourself!
