Will be at The Venetian this weekend and see this app offered for their property. Seems like a good way to keep connected to the horse races while at the pool, plus what I'm sure are a crappy set of VP pay tables. Anybody have any feedback on using these apps?

I am old fashioned, I don't use the APP.

I did talk to a CG guy in December, and he explained that the APP determines what area code you are in, and if you are in area code 702 you can bet.

Example of the way I THINK it works. I want to bet on a football game, but I live in Utah, CA, AZ, border state. I just drive across the border, get into area code 702, I use my betting account that I have setup with CG already, and presto, I can bet. I then, just drive back to wherever in the border state I live.

If I lived in a border state, I would so be doing this.

So, to use your sitting at the Venetian pool scenario, I THINK you are correct.

Since I have not actually tried any of this, it is pure speculation on my part. BTW, I am not fond of CG Management.

MGM just came out with an app as well, it's called playMGM I think? I was planning on trying this out in August when i'm out there. Couple of the sports betting sources I follow on Twitter mentioned that it was working pretty well for them.
