The Standard Room at Aria is top notch.

I like the casino at Aria more because it gets less foot traffic. I can't stand all the people and strollers trekking through Bellagio to see the conservatory.

    I agree with this.
The congestion in the main aisles at Bellagio gets old fast.
Aria has easy access to MC food court for breakfast on the fly.
I would not necessarily choose Aria or Bellagio based on dining options as the walk between the two for dinner is short.
There have been varying opinions on this board about casino personnel in both properties. My experience has been the dealers and PBs at Aria are more friendly in the craps pit where I spend 80% of my time.

We have stayed at both many times and prefer Aria although we do love the lakeview rooms at Bellagio. We get better offers from Aria, win more there and, as others have said, dislike the foot traffic at Bel. We also have come to like the Aria buffet better. We're not foodies so the high end restaurants don't interest us. What does bother us at both places is the lack of more moderately priced restaurants. We also prefer the rooms at Aria; the beds are heavenly.

Thanks again, everyone, for your thoughts on these two properties. For now, I am staying with Bellagio as my husband prefers it to Aria's common areas. Maybe it is the piano bar?? LOL.....And he is the one who has to leave the property for a conference.....since I do not want to stay at the conference hotel. For those who asked, it is Planet Hollywood, which I am sure is fine for some, just not for me....I have done solo trips to Las Vegas and stayed at Bellagio for those, so my comfort level is also 100% there. This will be a semi solo trip since he will be in meetings! I did have to revise our original dates, and I asked about price drops at B. She said call back every few weeks......so if I see a drop on their web site, I will call.

I've been lucky to stay at both properties.
When i stayed with my wife we where in the spa tower and it was awesome because it was quiet and did not have the busy main elevators to contend with. Staff was amazing.

Aria was an amazing experience. I would recommend if you are a poker player its hard to get a seat during the wsop. Bring a few extra 20's to get them to bump you from 80 on waitlist to a seat in the game.
Aria beds are so comfortable. Fast dining options id give slight edge to Aria but Bellagio Buffet is much better than Aria.

We really didn't like the Bellagio buffet. Felt tired. We much preferred the Aria buffet.

As I mentioned earlier, my rates at Bellagio for the non comped nights were quite high.....I called a few days ago, and about $150 was knocked off the rate that I was quoted when I first booked. The person I spoke to said call again this week if I want to check for lower rates! The rate was the rate....and we were going to stay with Bellagio.....but this just makes me feel like I got a 'bargain'! LOL I guess it never hurts to make the call............

Ditto. We've been going to Bellagio almost since they opened. The buffet has done a gradual, slow slide. They have been coasting on rep for a long time now. The redone rooms are pretty nice, but the ones they haven't revamped yet feel a little tired, also. I think the Aria buffet is really underrated. FWIW, we actually started staying at Aria over Bellagio. We love the B's pool, but found customer service and everything else at Aria a little better.

Last time I went to Vegas I spent 4 nights in each of Aria and Bellagio.
I also went to the buffet lunch at each using myVegas vouchers.

For me, Aria was cheaper and had nicer rooms (cleaner, smarter, quieter). Casino was quieter - depends whether you want busy or quiet I guess. Buffet was much better at Aria than Bellagio - much brighter room and fresher food.
I prefer the Bellagio poker room as Aria tends to attract more young European poker players rather than rich American tourists....!
Location of Bellagio is better (more central).
Good (if expensive) restaurants at both, but no queuing at Aria vs. 45 minute queue for Noodles in Bellagio.
The quiet mezzanine with Starbucks is good too at Aria.

Overall I would always choose Aria out of the two as a hotel to stay at, just based on rooms and prices - a great bet is Vdara thought, which is in between both,

Love Aria. Have stayed there every year since they opened. I love how they keep making improvements. Also, it looks like the new burger place just opened a couple days ago. I can't wait to try it out in a few weeks.

We have stayed at the Aria twice. The first was just their regular room that had a view of the mountains in the distance and looking at the back of the Bellagio etc.
The second stay we had a strip view on the 48th floor (2nd from the top). We could see up to the High Roller and down to Mandalay Bay and had a clear view of the planes leaving all day long.

The bathrooms and bed are a big seller for us at the Aria. My wife loves their Spa. We love the breakfast/lunch buffet. They didn't really seem to have a big variety of slots on our last stay which was kind of disappointing.

We were thinking of doing the Tower King Deluxe Fountain View on our next trip. It's hard to find pictures or videos of that exact room. It's a little bigger than the other Fountain View rooms. The bathrooms don't look to be as nice but we would like to take in the fountains and experience the Bellagio.
