Best of the Station Casino/Hotels

Just got back from Vegas and stayed at Palace Station after a conference at Mandalay Bay. To cut to the chase, I was impressed by the experience of Palace Station. Food was realistic in price, the table mins were $5 to BJ and $3 for Craps. I had a ball! So, if I can make it back before the end of the summer, which Station Casino would you recommend? Must have low table mins. Car is no problem.

 

All stations are quite similar. Palace has the location if you want strip and DT experience also. I personally like station casinos for games and people who work there. I am a little bias because my vacation home is less than 10 minutes from Sante Fe casino. Aliante is about the same but prefer Sante Fe. The only one I stay away from is Fiesta Rancho. Bad vibes there and the crowd is just different. Hard to explain but just isn't me. Now next door texas station fits me well. Sunset Station is very nice but far away from anything. Red Rock and Green Valley are as fancy as anyone would desire. But stakes are a little higher at times and food a little more. But quality is also a notch higher.

 

You may find the Orleans, Sun Coast, and Gold Coast, offer the same type of amenities and gambling limits. After Boyd Gaming folds the Cannerys and Aliante into their BConnected program (presumably later in 2016 or 2017) they should also serve your needs in a similar manner.

South Point is operated independently but is another hotel/casino with multiple restaurants and favorable gaming conditions.

When we go to Vegas, we often don't set a foot inside a "strip" hotel unless we are attending a show of some type.

 

Sunset Station is pretty decent as well. Location sucks but pretty nice "locals" casino. Red Rock and Green Valley Ranch are super nice as well

 

I heard anywhere from June to October as to when Boyd would takeover Aliante when I was there this week. But that Boyd people are onsite now making decisions even though they don't own it yet. I'm sure that back in the day you could have slipped Harry Reid a truckload of cash & he'd have fast tracked it with the gaming commission.,.

 

Comment regarding Fiesta Rancho is right on although we do make the drive occasionally because we love Guarduno's. I like Sunset better than GVR for the east valley mainly because of the customer service. Boulder Station is good too and you can wander up the road to Sam's Town if you like.
