Room Sharing Rules - CET Comp Nights

I'm visiting Vegas with my Brother, we are traveling in from the UK over March.

Anyway, CET have offered my brother 5 nights in a 2 double bed room for a great price (under $100) & we are looking to take up the offer.(using his TR number, not adding mine to the booking)

However, I am also offered a comp room Sun-Tues on my personal TR account, and having our own rooms would be much more relaxing.

Am I allowed to share with him up until the Sunday and then get my own room from the Sunday-Tuesday?
If I check in with my brother, it would technically mean I am still checked into his room on the Sunday/Monday as well as having my own room comped.

Understand this all sounds simple, but from previous experience you have to register who is in each room. How should we do this not to upset anybody?
1) Book Thurs-Tues on Brothers account + overlapping 2 Free Nights on my account
2) Book for us both Thurs-Sun, Then 2 additional reservations for Sun-Tues?

Hope it all makes sense! - however being from teh UK the word 'free room' doesn't pop up very often!

 

Why not just let him check in and ask for two keys. Then you don't have to register or even worry about it. Ive always stayed Mlife, never CET so maybe I'm missing something.

 

when your brother checks in they will ask if he wants to add anyone else to the room, simply say no...problem solved...your name on the room is just in case you lose your room key they can give the persons listed on the room a key

 

I wouldn't worry about it, just book both rooms and you stay in your brothers room up till the sunday when you move into your own room.

Nobody really bothers who is in the room as long as you don't have about 6 people in one room lol

Your 1) and 2) comments don't really make sense to me, not sure I'm reading it right.

 

You have the advice you need on a practical level. For reassurance, as a fellow UK visitor I have done this loads of times. Just have one person check in and ask for another key.

I do not see why you need to be registered to the room to reduce room charges. Just play on your brother's card. No one will care and if you hit Tier credit milestones per day e.g. 500, 1000, 2500 and 5,000, you will get bonuses. Also remember that CET gives comps based on your Average Daily Theoretical so you are both better off playing on ONE card then both switching to the other on other days.

 

Wow! - I didn't realise that two people could use the same card at the same time? I take it Slots only? as Tables you are usually asked for ID?

 

Scan through the boards and you will see people do the room stuff often... and they share cards as well.

You will also find out that you might be able to get your own room for the entire time. Check for a room and DO NOT USE THE OFFER. Sometimes you can get more nights that way.

Very easy if both on slots. Sometimes even a single player will play two machines at once - with two cards. At the tables, they do not check your ID. Of course if you both sit at the same table, then you would need two different cards.

Online/Emails I've never got any offers or promotions, but when I search for rooms they are often comp!

 

vegas only checks ID at the table to verify 21 or older, you can play on anyones card at the tables just simply hand it to them with your cash or chips buy in.

last year my girl was going out of town where no casino was and needed a about 800 points to make her diamond for the year, i took her card and played one night while she was gone...im the only person on the table, knew the dealer so he messed with me by loudly several times calling me Kristina...

 

If you play slots or vp two people can use the same players card. My wife and I do this often, using the card of the one who booked the room. However if we both are playing tables or if one is playing slots and the other playing tables, the computer will indicate to the floor person at the table that the card is already in use and the card will be rejected. This has happened to us. Might have been ok if the card at the table game was swiped first before the 2nd card was inserted in a machine but we haven't tried that.
