    Dice control? No.
Taking time so it slows the game and increases rating time? Yes.

Well hard tables/worn in padding it best..Ideally you want a table as hard as concrete (think a pool table).
    Also real felt >Microfiber
Casinos might back you off when the table has lost too much, but not because they think you are controlling
Notice i said controlling and not dice sliding? Get it in the air and hit the wall? They are fine with you

I was at the old MGM (now ballys ) and 2 old WWII navy guys shot for 40 mins each
I turned my nickel into a purple...7 floor guys were behind the table sweating it,
Finally the PB came over and asked what the table was at, one suit said were almost at $400 grand
PB said shut it down at 400...next thing i hear is LAST ROLL

I do...but there are many different types of sets and orientations of each set
I prefer 3V facing out, but any 3V is about hitting the inside numbers, my preference for 3V set is just that
    A personal preference..

in craps no, they always tell you to hit the back stop, all those raises edges will change the dice path, if you eliminate that, you would still need a hit the same throw over...the throw is possible but in play I say NO

now in hood dice games shooting on the ground or cardboard, if you good you can roll any number you want, a guy named "jiggaboo jones" has videos online showig he can shake the dice and drop any number you want, but people have been killed over that stuff

You can practice all you want, it won't help anybody's game.

Not just me that says so. Look, it's easy enough to prove that dice control is possible, just videotape it. But no one has, because it's bull crap.

Would it be easier to control dice on one of those mini-tubs like they used to have?

While I'm not sure if it would provide any advantage I enjoy playing more at a table of smooth tossers than those where eye injury is a distinct possibility.

The late Carl Sagan is quoted as having said, "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence." I think dice control would fall into that category, but I haven't seen anything even approaching "extraordinary evidence," or any evidence for that matter.

Yep. I completely believe that the dice can be controlled and thrown to a number on command.

Nolan Ryan couldn't put the ball exactly where he intended every single pitch, but he could most of the time. I have no doubt someone who has very good fine & gross motor skills could (with a lot of practice) have an advantage - if the conditions of the table were as predictable an MLB field. At a casino table there are too many variables out of the dice throwers control or ability to practice for, it's not like hanging in the alley tossing them up against the dumpster.
