    My Trip Report

    Hey VMB --

Finally at the Oakland Airport waiting for my Southwest flight to Vegas. Ladybrick and I are meeting up with some friends from the great state of Ohio and spending a few days relaxing at the Mirage.

    Tonight's tentative Agenda:
    Stratosphere Happy Hour
    Dinner at Portofino
Gaming at Mirage and other mid strip casinos

Thanks to everyone for sharing their Trip Reports over the past few months. It has helped me deal with the anticipation of rolling them bones and hitting my first Royal.

BART from the East Bay to Coliseum was quick and painless. Started off the trip with good luck by running into an old friend from college at the airport. Go Cardinal!

We just boarded the plane. Gate 31. Will update when we touch down. [IMG][IMG]

On terra firma. We booked the Bell VIP $28 RT service to get to the Mirage. Quick transition from plane to low rolling luxury SUV. Driver named Elizabeth who I remember from my June 2015 MGM trip.

Just getting settled in our Tower Suite. Originally booked a Tower King then accepted a reasonably priced upgrade. I didn't tell Ladybrick so when she saw this room, she said, "Dang. This room is almost bigger than our house."

Quick stop at the sports book to lay some NCAA and NBA bets. Too late for Cleveland v. San Antonio so I played the following:
Sac over Utah; Warriors over Lakers. Singles and parlay.
    - Cal over Stanford; Arizona over Washington; USF over LMU. Singles and parlay. [IMG]

Off to The STRAT for happy hour and appetizers. Hopefully, I can find some good DDB to get started.

The view from 107 Lounge at Strat. Not sure why I never visited this place before. Good drinks and good food to match. Really tasty Scottish Mules to wash down the carne asada tacos and shrimp cocktail. Sorry no food pics.

    Off to the Mirage.

I had a coupon for the restaurant there. Not sure if I will make it this trip but I gotta get on top of that thing once. Lovely picture.

    Good luck!

I originally read this as "March madness" and was thinking to myself what an epically long TR this was gonna be

Quick hit and run at craps. Bought in for $500 and walked with $640. Now enjoying a late snack at Pantry.

Ladybrick ordered the Frank's Bagel Benedict with smash browns. Delicious![IMG]

I had the buttermilk vanilla waffle with fried chicken and side of smash browns. The waffles here are light and fluffy. The chicken is pretty good. Not the best. But it pairs well with the waffle. I like this restaurant and would return. Using the $15 myVegas reward which requires a bill of at least $40. Not bad for Vegas late night brunch. [IMG]

Rocky -- if this trip were that long, I'd be leaving here in a bodybag.

It is the one bedroom tower suite. I has a living room, bar, dining table, TVs everywhere and an awesome bed. It has been a challenge getting my wife to leave the room since she loves it so much.

Just waking up when I realize one thing: I didn't gamble nearly enough last night.

Grabbing Starbucks coffee and headed to a quick craps session. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Looks like they are installing a new roulette wheel outside the HL area. [IMG]
