Even though I am from cold country, I find this Vegas weather too cold.

It is around 30 degrees in the morning, and gets to near 50. The other day, it was real windy.

This NYE is going to be a cold one.

The LVMP is planning on putting in an ordinance to not allow backpacks and strollers on the strip on New Years Eve in 2016.

In 2015, please bring your babies down to the strip at midnight when it is around 40 degrees. You cannot do it next year.

    Cold? Please...

My high in SLC today was 25 degrees F. I go stay at my place in Las Vegas this time of year to warm up.

Of my two years celebrating NYE in Vegas, one was extremely cold. You needed your jacket on to sit in NYNY. It was so cold they also had record low arrests and problems. You didn't even have to fight for space to view the fireworks.

We just got back on the 25th. We did have warm days but it was very windy at times.

Last night we got about 5" of snow!

Uh oh. I'm going to be there next week attending the CES. Guess I better bring out the long sleeve shirts in addition to my jacket.

Hawaii has been a little warm this year, this morning the temp was in the mid 70's. (usually should be in the 60's at least). So I'm sure that I will be feeling the cold temps.

there is also a nasty flu and cold bug flying around here.

I was talking to some restaurant people and they all brought it up.

Pretty standard winter weather for the high Mojave. We've had snow up there during a number of trips, too. But chilly/cold and windy is standard fare for the desert West this time of year. Heck it snowed south of Tucson this morn.

I was there a few years ago when it snowed on the strip. Not too much of a problem but at the conventions I don't like to carry a bulky jacket around with me. This year is even worse, because of security concerns the CES isn't allowing any "luggage" or wheeled bags or backpacks or even those wheeled carts. That means I have to carry a backpack and put my jacket in it or hang on to another bag while walking so my back will be killing me at the end of the day. Still, it will be great to be in vegas again.

Was "warm" here in WI until 3 days ago. Then 3" of snow and 3" of sleet to "shovel" pit from under yesterday. Damn I'm sore today. Getting old for sure. But we didn't really have any winter until Dec 28th. I'll take it!

    Current LV Weather forecast

    NYE
47 degrees high 28 degrees low

if you are coming to the strip, dress warm is my advice.

Strip begins to shutdown at roughly 4 PM because of the crowds.

I live in Hawaii so 60's to us is considered cold. I like to visit Vegas in the winter. I don't get to experience cold too often. I hope to freeze to death one day while playing craps in Vegas.
