Upping my number of trips from UK

Having just completed my 9th (and first winning!) Vegas trip I feel somewhat rejuvenated in terms of my trips.

Prior to this year, I would generally go once a year for 5 or 6 nights, as a solo traveler around 50% of the time - I found I had some less exciting times, particularly when I was losing heavily. This year I've done 2 x 4 night trips, the first was a bit of a drag having lost big on the first night and going solo, the second was much better, having completely changed my gaming strategy (from Blackjack and Poker to mainly VP), and recording my first ever win for a trip (courtesy of a $1000 spin on double diamond).

The prices to fly to LV from the UK have plummeted, and I can now regularly find flights for £350 if connecting through Dublin. A lot of people tell me I'm insane for going to Vegas for a 'long weekend', but the flying itself doesn't bother me, and it's fairly quickly through all of the airports due to the US pre-clearance in Dublin. I'm therefore considering whether to step up to 3-4 trips per year at 3 nights a time (arrive LV Friday 18:30, leave Monday, 20:30). I'm comped for 3 nights at my hotel so it would also cut accommodation costs, plus I'd have more FP etc. to take advantage of.

Does anyone else do this? I'm a bit concerned that a bigger number of trips, all to Las Vegas, all of which will be travelling alone (if with friends - I only meet them there and don't generally travel with them), might flag up as a concern with CBP which could affect my future ability to travel to the USA.

If anyone had any experience of doing this and was willing to share their thoughts it would be appreciated.

 

I live in the Midlands and used to fly with Virgin from Gatwick but the last year fly with T Cook from Manchester as I like direct flights. Used to go twice a year but have now stepped up to 3 times a year for a week at a time. Been going to Vegas for last 20 years so " Yes I like the place " !! Two out of the three trips I go Solo which if I am being honest enjoy the most as I can do what i want, when I want and not be hanging around waiting for people.Mainly VP and as I enjoy comped rooms play mainly at Bellagio although most mornings enjoy walking along strip viewing other properties.
Never get tired of the place, love the Buzz even though sleeping is all over the place with the UK time difference so usually up at 4 / 5 am. My motto.. If you can DO . tomorrow might be too late.

 

I used to do 1 or 2 trips per year, now upped that to 4 trips per year minimum 7 nights, max 10 nights, always fly direct now from LGW or MAN, depending on prices. Never had any problem with CBP, had a couple of times when they asked me where I was staying, and how much funds I had, then it was enjoy your vacation, and on my way.

 

Without killing the buzz, can you not just go to a casino in London or Manchester and play there?
All the gambling companies have VP on their websites too. e.g. Betfair

I know personally I have no desire to go to casinos in the UK but love it in Las Vegas. Was in the hippodrome Leicester Square last week because I had MyVegas points spare, and it was pretty rubbish compared to Vegas and had no VP.

 

This year I've travelled to LV in February, March, May, July, August, September. Over again on Sunday so that will be November, then December. Same last year and planning the same next year. Fly BA direct from LHR and half the flights are on airmiles. Stay usually 10-14 nights. Four trips solo, four with husband.

 

I increased from 2 to 3 trips this year and it will be 3 trips again next year with flights for Feb and May already booked. I don't think I could do 3 or 4 nights there though, the minimum I have done is 6 but usually do 7 and in May will be doing 8 nights. I don't think I could get away with anymore than 3 trips a year but you never know. I don't think CBP would be any problem, I have a few visits under my belt now and I don't get any kind of grilling, usually how long your staying and how much cash you carrying. I say if you can do it then go for it.

 

I have nothing but respect for the OP and other friends from abroad that fly so many hours to get to Vegas (and back).
I'm pooped after a flight to/from Minneapolis!
