I'm planning on hitting up Hooters before they change the name so I can get my $1 chip. Was also thinking about walking to Tropicana then Luxor/Excalibur. My question is this. I saw the street view of Hooters to Trop, and it doesn't look that populated. So, how safe is it? I know it's off-strip a bit, but it also doesn't look like it's much of a walk. Maybe 15min or so. So, is it safe(ish) to walk from one to the other? I know it's not Stratosphere area, but I don't know the strip that well.

I've walked to hooters many times without any issue. If you are concerned you can go the long round about way by going through MGM. It isn't that far of a walk.

Yeah, I didn't think it'd be too bad. But, wasn't sure if the south side of the strip could get as bad as the far north. Plus, having a metal cane seams to make people think twice for some reason. ;)

I have made the walk. It ain't pretty, but no one messed with my wife or me.

    Go get those chips!

I have the entire strip now. I need to hit the off strip casinos in Vegas but I am too cheap to rent a car.

I have almost all the downtown ones. For some reason I keep forgetting Plaza.

I don't think they've said yet. But, if they move as fast as LVC it'll change overnight. Glad I got that one last trip.

They haven't said yet. But it was closed about 2 weeks after they announced the sale.

Gotcha, knew that just thought they already had a new name. I was thinking, whoa!

I believe I have all of the downtown chips, too. I need to update my list though. It hasn't been touched in two years.

This is dated, for sure so take it with a grain of salt.

Knowing him I'm sure he has something planned already.
