Has anyone ever done this? My host is really pushing us it this year, offering us a much better than usual offer to come this week. The issue is my wife runs the Marathon in Vegas the weekend before it starts, so we either (a) don't go to the Extravaganza; (b) make it a REALLY long stay; or (c) come back again a few days after getting home for a couple days.

The issue really comes down to how worthwhile is it?

We'll probably have somewhere between 200 and 250k points (or more if we decide to do it and dedicate ALL our play in our upcoming trip to VP instead of meandering the strip a few days/nights), any idea as to what kind of $ value that might represent? I've done some google searches, but haven't found much info on it one way or another.

    Any feedback is appreciated.

Sorry, not the shopping event this week, the Extravaganza in November. I know there's supposed to be a bunch of gifts and stuff there, but I wasn't sure how many points you needed to really make the event worthwhile.

Based on what we cashed in at last years extravaganza, you'll have about $400 in gift points to play with.

I was in the 275K range last year and came home with $450 in Best Buy gift cards and a few small miscellaneous filler items (travel mug etc). To be truthful, it was an excuse to take a quick weekend trip. Rooms and food are always comped but with airfare and all my "play" budget for the weekend, it really was a wash. But the way I look at it, I earned the points so why not go pick up the gifts :D

Unless the values change, 57,000 points equals $100.

50% of your points can be redeemed for slot credit. You needed a minimum of 114,000, so 57,000 could be redeemed for $100 in slot credit.

For me, four nights in Vegas is long enough. Did five nights once. I also wouldn't want to make a trip there, only to fly back again in a few days. But, that's me. Grazie Gifts is a nice perk if it coincides with trip planning. You'll need to decide if it's worth making it work for you. Have fun deciding!

great gifts from cars to jet skies , but you need alot of credits, i think they gave away 6 to 8 cars last year.

you really need alot. i forgot how many i had but i didnt get much but if you have millions or tens of millions you can get great stuff

    otherwise get gift cards

Yes, and I actually saw people who were there redeeming less than 10,000 points.

Cool thanks for the info. Talked to my host and found out it actually kicks off Nov 20, so we're able to extend our already planned trip by one day to be there for the first day of it. Wouldn't have made the special trip for $4-500 worth of "gifts", but heck, we have the points since we're there at pretty much the same time might as well use them!!!

I don't think I'd bother sticking around if I only had a in the thousands or tens of thousands, but for a few hundred worth of goodies its worth the extra night, especially since we can get it comped anyway.

Fuzzy - Glad you can make it work! Quick question, was your host able to give you your Grazie Gifts offer, ie bonus points...? The most recent offers in my account are Diana Ross and Lavo Casino Club, but nothing yet for Grazie Gifts. Thinking about a trip in November, but haven't nailed the dates down yet. Thanks.

My host booked me for the room based on previous play, and said that she would wait for the November offers to be posted and apply the proper offer.

Our host said basically the same. To answer your question last several years there has been a double gift points offer as part of our offers the week before the extravaganza. Ironically we have come that week last several years but never stayed for the show.

My host said that will undoubtedly be offered again this year but couldn't extend the exact offer as of a couple weeks ago.

Any word on details yet? I can't view on line and when I called, the marketing department couldn't provide any details to the events- just what my freeplay and dining credits were. She said the information wasn't loaded yet and all the hosts were just heading into a meeting.

Funny that they post the offers, but there aren't even details for the marketing department to view yet~

    What I found out:

1)It is a double GGE points event
    2)I got $600 FP and $100 FBC

My host just changed my booking to that promotion.

If I got that much, you should be getting a s**tload, VegasChic-
