    My Trip Report

This is our second trip of the year so far. Starting out at MGM Grand for the first four days then moving over to Golden Nugget on Fremont for a change of scenery and to go in the shark tank water slide. The agenda includes Absinthe, Ka, Beer and Barrel festival at Mandalay Beach, some pool time, a few good restaurants and of course drunken gambling (hopefully sober gambling too). Had an overnight flight out of Honolulu just in time to escape the incoming possible hurricane. Been flooding and storming for days now. Heard the loudest thunder of my life an hour before the scheduled pickup from the apartment. Was getting worried flights would get cancelled , but all is well. Spent the morning shopping out running errands around town. Finally headed to the hotel a couple hours before checkin so went to kill some time at NYNY.

Nine Fine Irishmen for Guinness and some beer and cheese dip. Always good. I like the sitting at the newer outside bar for the misters and the people watching.

What is Dora doing here? She should be off exploring somewhere less debaucherous. Is that even a word?

A tiny bit of slots before checkin and a much needed nap. I think I've gotten one hour of broken airplane sleep in the last 36 hours.

    Oh, and RIP Rainforest Cafe.

The sigma derby is pretty fun. It was mostly fun because of the crowd playing it. We had a pretty obnoxious girl commentating each race. But obnoxious in a good way. At least it was entertaining. Only had one win over $100 for the night. But still 5 more days to go!

So the one good thing about a west wing room despite its small size is that the elevators let you out on the side of the building next to the Grand Canyon souvenir store which means it only took like 8 minutes to walk to my late night snack.

800 degrees pizza right out front of Monte Carlo. Bomb. I got a pesto base with fresh mozzarella, artichokes, and prosciutto. Maximum deliciousity. Hopefully I can finally get some sleep since I need to be up earlyish to check in for the bed at the pool. Gonna try to go early as possible to get a location by the lazy river.

Good. That place was a tourist trap if I've ever seen one.

We found it and played a bit this morning. Behind some giant slingo slot and an avatar slot. We didn't win one race...lol

Thanks for letting us know it was there though!

Aww that's too bad. It was winning in the medium numbers when we played but what definitely made the game was the girl narrating lol
