I have never stayed at any MLife property, but I would like to try in a couple weeks. I popped in to Bellagio and Mandalay last year, for a while. Didn't do too much, earned about 1000 points on video poker at Mandalay and played a couple hours of $50/hand blackjack at Bellagio as well as about 750 points in video poker. I will be going for Labor Day weekend to Vegas. Have an offer for 3 comp nights at Mandalay Bay or Delano and $650 resort credit. Also have 3 free nights at Bellagio for those dates and $300 restaurant credit. I much prefer center strip to the south end (feel isolated down there), but for more than double credit, I am having second thoughts. I currently booked the Bellagio one (lowest room--resort room I think it's called). What would you all do? Thanks.

Bellagio! Never stayed at either but it's in the middle of the strip and has better restaurants. The bay and Luxor are just too far down

I've stayed at Delano several times. It's clean and the employees are great. As you know their resort credit offers are very generous. You can also use the resort credit for show tickets. I am thinking of staying at Bellagio instead of Delano for my upcoming trip in October. I've never stayed their before and think it may be a nice change. I'll be following this thread to see everyone's opinions.

The room at the Delano would give you more space (extra bathroom, living room) if that's something that matters to you. I guess it depends if you like to stay within the resort you're staying at or like to hop around. Using the tram once or twice a day to get to center strip isn't that bad, but it does eat up time.

When we stay at a mlife property. Those are my two properties of choice now.

Stayed at the Delano for the first time last October on a similar offer of 3 nights and $800 resort credit, and have not regretted that decision. The rooms at the Delano are all true suites ( with separate bedroom) . Their resort credit can be used city wide. I can still eat at my favourite Julian Serranos's and charge it back to my room at the Delano. Last October was a lovely time to stay there, as the there are less children and the weather is perfect for walking up to center strip . The vibe is laid back and relaxed.

As for the Bellagio, we usually stay in a Salon suite, but did stay in a resort room on my very first offer several years ago as well.
The rooms are standard size, but it was clean and tasteful. One thing to note is that the food and bev. Credit at the Bellagio can only be used at their on site restaurants. They will provide you with a list of restaurants at check in that you can use them at.
Unless you have a host or have your play assessed at the backend, you will have to pick up any other off property charges.
However, it is the Bellagio . It is center strip. It is always buzzing with activities. . It is "Bella" .. So comes down to what type of a trip you are looking for .

I love Mandalay Bay/Delano. I like how the casino is t overly crowded. The resteraaunts are good. Pretty good buffet. What I don't like about Bellagio is the crowds down the pathways and the strollers. It's just annoying and devalues the property in my experience. Trying to get to a resteraunt in the conservatory area is like getting through a Disney park. The buffet is way too crowded. Those are my thoughts.

    Both are great.

$$ wise a bit better at Delano. Take Delano offer to get suite vs M-Bay if you go down there.

Your decision is center strip vs MB - the $$ are not too big of deal - actually a tie breaker maybe.

The cluster F that is the walkways of Bellagio is the main and really only reason we have never taken the comp offers we get and stick to Delano, the only place worse IME is MGM Grand.

I agree it is crazy there. Not much they can do about all the "lookee lookees". They could find a way to check people in quicker and get them out of the lobby which would help just a bit. But, they are stuck with it.

Any you just pointed out what has always bugged me at MGM but was not quite able to put a finger on it. Those walkways are ALWAYS jammed.

I did notice a few weeks ago they finally put up a rope for the line at Bellagio, so it's no longer like Hunger Games to check in.

It's not so much the check in lines, I don't think at least, the issue is the people either playing looky loo or just standing there gabbing, texting, checking in on social media or whatever. I think part of the issue, maybe the majority, is how small the lobby there is for the size of the hotel and the fact they put the Chilully and other seasonal exhibits in there, still rather check in there than Luxor which IME is the biggest cluster F I have ever seen, thank God for VIP check in the two times we stayed there.

I ended up booking a room at Delano. Figured the $350 extra comps would be nice, and 25% off spa if I decide to go for a massage. I'll report back next week if it was a good or bad decision.
    Th anks.

Is there a separate line for Gold and above at Bellagio to check-in?

They have a VIP check in but I think it's Platinum and above, since we haven't stayed there since hitting Platinum I cant say for sure, last trip we didn't even go past the entry to the casino area as it was NUTS in the lobby.

I've never stayed at the Bellagio before, but the crowds are always nuts there. I've been staying at the Delano/MB the past couple of trips and its usually pretty chill.
