Their menu (with prices) is on their website, so you can check for the breakfast special.

To get the infamous 'steak special' you have to earn a voucher from the slot-club kiosk/machine via your play that day (only $10 worth I believe)

Here is how it was explained to me.

There've been some changes at Ellis Island, notably in the requirement for getting the 24/7 steak dinner. The base price has been raised to $12.99, but everyone can swipe their players card to get $3 off for $9.99. Whereas you used to be able to get an additional $2 off by playing $1 in a machine, that requirement has been raised to $5 (which costs about 10 cents in expected value). Bottom line: You can still get the steak dinner for $7.99, but you have to make a $5 lay down to get it.

There is also a strategy to use the same $5 play to help with the American Casino Guide freeplay coupon. I don't quite have that down yet.

Perhaps it has something to do with standing on your head and singing. God Bless America in the best Kate Smith voice you can muster. I'm not sure.

Don't waste your time on that steak. Get the king cut prime rib dinner for 13.99. Comes with 2 sides, a salad, and your choice of a beer or root beer. Make sure to get it med rare. You will thank me later.

Plus, since that is on the menu, you can use LVA/AcG 50% twofers
