My wife(33) and myself(45) will be staying at the Cosmo later this month. Got 3 free nights. My question is that I heard from some friends that the
cosmo crowd is all in their 20s. Will we(namely me) feel out of place? I'd normally stay at wynncore but this freebie sounded too good to pass up.

Just act like you're in your twenties. It's the thing to do in Vegas. I have to say that prices for rooms, food, drinks, and gambling there isn't what a typical person in their twenties can afford.

Cosmo has a really nice atmosphere I think, I am 34 and my wife is 37. We have stayed there in the past, and always play there a bit each trip and we don't feel out of place, we see all age ranges playing and drinking there...

My wife and I are in our late 20s, but we're not crazy party people. There are plenty of good spots to post up with a drink and watch the craziness of the evening unfold.

The bulk of the crowd is definitely in their twenties. It has a very different vibe than wynncore. I'm not saying that is bad. I enjoy staying at Cosmo, but I mostly hang out in the high limit rooms, which are not filled with twenty year olds.

I frequently stay and play at Cosmo and have never felt out of place; I'm 54.

I have spent a lot of time there these last few trips including a full afternoon this past Saturday. There are a lot of 20's heading back and forth to the pool or the clubs, but I don't find myself rubbing elbows with them while hanging out at the Bond or Chandelier. I would say go for it, its def worth a try!

I'm 40 (and don't try to "act young") and I never have felt out of place there. The crowd is definitely younger than the ones at most casinos. But it isn't like there are ONLY twenty-somethings there. There will be plenty of people your age as well. So unless a little rowdiness and noise bothers you, go for it.

I'm 52 and hang out at Cosmo often. There may be a lot of younger folks in there but they've always seen polite and respectful. At the times I go there, there seem to be a lot of middle aged folks at the VP bars which is where you'll find me. But I've never stayed there so I don't know what goes on up in the rooms at night.

Just curious, did you get three free nights without ever setting foot in Cosmo?

I haven't stayed there but I've played there for a bit on the trips when I stay at Aria. As others have said, there's definitely a younger clientele that is running around the resort but if you're gambling there will be a wide range of ages. I played some craps there on a weekday around noon and I was easily the youngest person at the table and I'm 28.

Shit I'm 65 and I have stayed there 4 or 5 times in the past. Yes, lot of young uns running around, but I never had a problem with any of them. And like others have said, I have seen people of all ages there playing slots and the tables. Also never had a problem in the hallways or rooms, too much noise, etc. One time I even had a young sweetie want to take a picture with me in the elevator, so I obliged her. LOL

I'm 43 and Cosmo really wasn't my cup of tea, just way too upscale for me, everyone deliberately dressed too nice, etc. I don't care for the Bellagio either, but it doesn't make me feel uncomfortable.

But no complaints about the people, it's a beautiful place, everyone was younger but nice, I just personally like a waaaaay more laid back atmosphere.

I didn't notice that many 20s, I don't think that will be a problem. However, I always get a "cold" feeling from that place, I can't explain it. I really looked forward to going there too. The last time I was playing VP at a bar & could not get waited on even though it wasn't busy. Fortunately I was ahead, so I cashed out and bought my RBV at the bar on the other side. :rolleyes2:

But everybody's different so it's worth giving it a try especially if it's free, and I love the balcony idea.

I have free nights every month, but never stayed there. Never played there except using the freeplay.
Don't like the casino. I collect chips from every casino I have played at.
Cosmo is the only strip casino I don't have a chip.

As for next week, the median age would be around 35, as I'm in town and cosmo :)

My wife & I are in our 40's and love staying at the Cosmo. Were not there during the summer months & avoid the weekends so we never really noticed an overload of the 21 year old club crowd. It's always been a nice mix of young & old when we stay. We like the fact the people do tend to dress up a bit more than at some of the other properties because we tend to fall into that category as well.

I know exactly what you mean by "cold" except I don't feel it at Cosmo. I felt it at SLS.

Wife and me are both 40 and we hate the summer crowds there...loud bros and bro hos and elevators are a nightmare. I prefer a calmer vibe and tend to like Wynncore for that reason... Cosmo in Fall/Winter is much more appealing for us. Last summer, some bros bumped into my wife and then made some inappropriate comments...she came and told me and I took a friend, we found security, wife pointed them out in line at Marquee and we got their asses booted from the hotel. Yeah, not my scene but more for all of you...
