OK, done with Cosmo, checked into Caesars.

    Cosmo breakdown:

Mostly bad variance with a slight uptick at the end. Gambling wasn't the focus at Cosmo, but reaching Gold tier should have been easy and it ended up being a squeaker. The Gold benefits at Cosmo are much more usable to me than the diff between Gold and Platinum at MGM.

Anyways, the problem with Identity is the different buckets, vs what you can see online. In that respect, it's horrible.

    \\ Math only

This is what I expected at Cosmo:

Start Point: 11,890 Tier Credits ( or so I thought )
    Days 1 & 2: Room Rate of $276 * 2 = $552 * 5 TC = 2,760 TC
    Days 3 & 4: Comped with upgrade fee of $150 per = $300 * 5 TC = 1,500 TC
    Day 5: Comped with upgrade fee of $200 = $200 * 5 TC = 1,000 TC
Add $100 for room service and restaurant charges, for another 500 TC

Adds up to 5,760 TCs from hotel spend, should have put me at 17,560 TCs, needing only 2,350 from gambling, which is only $5,875 coin in.

So I go to the Identity desk thinking I made it easily, but I'm some shocking amount short. Fuckers!

I know my math is wrong, not theirs, but I'm not gonna ask them to break it out because they don't know.

Anyways, where it went off the rails was somehow, I got billed zero (so far) for days 3 & 4.

So that left me a couple of thousand points short of Gold. I chase, but I don;t play for comps, BUT it also doesn't make any sense to come up a little short, especially at Cosmo.

If they bill me right for Night 5 (Fri night), it's 1,290 TCs. I need like 800 TCs, or $2,000 coin in, way more than I want to spend, already being down $3,500.

    CLENCH

So thins morning, I normally wouldn't play on a getaway day, but I gotta go down and see what's up with the points. I have $155.00 in Identity Point freeplay, and $500 max I'm committed to lose, so I go to a $25 800/1,600 Double Diamond machine in the HL room and do 6 spins and win $350. And then play the $350 back in @$25, leave with my original stake and 800 TCs.

OK, that should do it, but I'm willing to lose $50 more.

Over to an 800/1,600 Double Diamond $0.50 that keeps paying me 5s and 10s frequently, I up it to $1 until I play it down to the original $500.

That should put me over the top for Gold at Cosmo and I didn't lose anything on the last day there.

Over budget $1,000 because of the chasing at MGM Grand. Mitigated by about $400 cause of Cosmo's billing error, and the fact that when I had to make it up at Cosmo, it ended being a free ride.

ETA: Had $200 free play at Caesars, the last 2 times I played, it was $100 machine and I won 5 credits each time. This time, they had a one credit $100/$250/$500/$1,000 machine that had the paid the normal amounts except only 500 on the top line. So of course I think this has slightly better variance than one that has 800 on the top line, so I play it and win zero.

    C'est la vie.

    Why I love Caesars:

Last night at $10 craps, up and down, everybody's bored. I'm not really paying attention

    "$100 if I win"

    6 it is, get paid.

Someone paid you $100 for hitting the point? Love when things like that happen.

$12,500 in, $15,000 out on the $5 machine by the high limit room at Caesars.

No crimes reported, although I'm sure there are plentny of assholes in the vicinity.
