Bellagio Cypress Suite

Decided to go the "comp myself" route for my birthday in December. Booked a cypress suite at bellagio based on pretty fountain photos. Was also happy to find out it include limo transfer. Has anyone stayed in one before??

 

I have stayed in the cypress a half dozen times. I like it because its something different than the usual. Couple things to know. First, hope you get a higher floor. if you get a lower one, the trees that shield the villas can actually obscure your view of the fountains. Also, make sure your drapes are 100% closed when you go to bed, because the rising sun in the morning points straight at your windows and bed. In fact, that window got pretty warm every day, but I never stayed there in December. What else would you like to know?

 

Thanks UK. I appreciate the tips. Maybe in December the sun will be in a different enough position that it won't be an issue in the morning. Either way, I'll make sure the blinds are closed. I was surprised that the room wasn't crazy expensive. I didn't use my mlife account at all, and was able to get it for under $500 for the night. Could you let me know suites that you prefer more? Pretend that cost isn't a consideration.

 

the best suite in the house at the B is the Lake (1BR) or Grand Lakeview (2BR).

they're in the same center rotunda that the Cypress are, but the top few floors only.

the entire rotunda is the living room (the bedroom(s) are off to the side)

and some have a outdoor balcony overlooking the fountains.

 

I agree. Got a tour of the 2BR a few years ago and its hard to beat.

the other suites at the B are pretty simple.

nothing really special about them.

a bedroom, a living room.

 

Not sure what the price ranges are (thank you comps!!!), but off the top of my head I would rate the Skylofts and larger Wynn suites as better than Cypress. I would rate the Skysuites and penthouse suites of MGM and Bellagio about the same. The big suites at Mandalay Bay rank a bit below those. Not sure where I put the Cosmo wraparound suite in these rankings. Its very different than the other suites IMO

 

Oh, I meant similar to the lakeview suite. Let's say any suite less than $1,500 night would be in for consideration....

 

Just came back from a stay in a Grand Lakeview during 108º daytime heat. The room was always at a comfortable temp despite the enormous size; I wouldn't worry much about it.
