    Trips to Las Vegas:
    9
    Hey everyone, I'm new! ha

I've been to Vegas nine times, eight of which were spent doing nothing but work related functions. And the lone "pleasure" trip was a spontaneous two night stay, on my way to Arizona.

Needless to say, I don't have much experience fully enjoying all that Vegas has to offer.

I'm booked to go for the 10th time, this Saturday, through next Sunday. But finally, this is a true pleasure trip. I'm going with several friends, mixed group[guys and girls]. A few will be staying at the Luxor. A few will be staying at the Aria, and I was booked for the Delano, but at the last minute, switched to the Cromwell.

After booking the Delano, I continued to browse through hotel listings, mainly out of boredom. I came across the Rumor and liked everything about it, with the exception of the location. I asked around and a few people suggested the Cromwell, because it offered a similar experience. I took their word for it, and hope they were right.

I also flirted with staying at the Golden Nugget. In all my time spent in Vegas, I've never been Downtown. But from what I read, it was right up my ally. I want this trip to be about drinks and good times. No need for shows or sight seeing.

I came across this forum and figured this would be the best place to ask for help with an issue of mine.

I'm the only one of my group who has been to Vegas. So everyone is looking at me to plan our fun. I'm in the position where I can't do that, because I've never had the chance to explore the Vegas life, myself.

So i'll pose the question here, I apologize if this is the wrong place for this....

Are there any pools open a while beyond sunset? Oyster claims the Rumor has a 24/7 pool. I called and it was determined, that's a lie.

Also, is downtown the crazy/fun scene that most blogs are claiming?

    Cheers!

Welcome to the board; I'm sure most questions you have can be answered by the members of the board but they may be missed here in the Introduce yourself forum. I suggest you post any questions you have under the various related sections of the board. There are lots of categories, e.g. Strip Casinos, Vegas Nightlife. If you ask the questions in the related forum, the experts in those areas are sure to see and respond. I haven't stayed at Cromwell yet but love the Casino and the pool definitely has the party atmosphere you are looking for.
