    My Trip Report

It's been almost a year and we fly back out to Vegas tomorrow. Having re read last years trip report a dozen times to keep me going through the long wait, I thought I would have a go at another one.

I'm 36, j is 43. We've been a couple for 21 years and this is our 18th ish trip to Vegas since I turned 21. We leave the kids aged 11 & 13 at home with grandad in charge and have some 'not being mum and dad' time every year that we can get away with it. Because our trips are long we like to stretch the budget with comps and coupons but saving cash isn't the be all and end all.

    Last years trip report here
    https://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/showthread.php?109135-Live(ish)-tr-2-Brits-12-nights-low-rolling-Long-and-probably-dull

Expect more of the same. Lots of drinking, relaxing, low level gambling etc. Off to the airport hotel tonight and first gamble of the trip is getting on the plane tomorrow as we fly standby.

Plans booked and set in place are

Sunday to Friday - 5 nights comped through cet at ballys - indigo delux (no idea how we got this as have only played at harrahs for an hour last year and that was it for total rewards) . $140 in resort fees and tax to pay

Tuesday - Hoover dam 12 mile kayak tour with evolution expeditions

Wednesday and Thursday - cabana booked at ballys pool (paid $120 per day)

Friday to Sunday - 3 nights comped Luxor tower deluxe through mlife spring offer with $50 resort credit. Resort fee comped apparently.

Friday - dinner at Tender with my Vegas $75 coupon then comp 9:30 zumanity tickets via my Vegas

Saturday - steel panther at house of blues 9pm

Sunday - crescent Lounger / daybed booked at tropicana $75 - think this is a minimum f&b spend

Monday and Tuesday - Red Rock resort - 1 nights comped through my Vegas and one night paid.

Wednesday - fly home on the red eye (should be missing our kids by now).

Am pretty pleased at getting 9 of 10 nights comped. Gives us more gambling budget so we have a stop loss of $200 per day each and will happily roll winnings over so that budget can be double that if we get lucky. Mostly play pai gow poker but also looking to play some dw vp at the bar tops. Planning on bingo at red rock too since j seems to be massively lucky at this.

First time in 5 years where we haven't stayed downtown for some part. GN rush tower was in our plans but it seemed silly to pay when we had the 5 nights at ballys. Plus we end up paying for day beds as their pool is a nightmare and they added the resort fee. As long as we can find pai gow poker for $15 on the strip we wil be fine.

Have a few other my Vegas bits to use ($50 Luxor free play x 2 and Monte Carlo $50 food x 2 plus some stations breakfast buffets.

off to pack and clean the house ready for grandad to arrive and take over the kids.

I guess $7.55 US isn't shabby. But i would still wish for cheaper. Lol

Get good use out of that tub for an extra $50/nt!! I think i would have tried a $100 trick at Bally's for that! And 45 min. to check in? Damn!!!!

No chip porn to report - $10 pai gow at margaritaville lost me $80 in less than an hour. Has some fun playing vp at osheas listening to a live band (terrible 6 / 5 job) and then the Eagles cover band at Brooklyn bowl.

    Gambling
    N - down $100 for the day
    J - up $15 for the day
    $1 vp stash - up $40

The dollar vp is where collect all of the £2 coins that we get over the year and cycle through a higher limit than we normally play. Last year we got quite a bit of play on the lions share. Tonight we cycled $500 through some $1 vp and came up $40. We plan to repeat every day until we hit big (aces or royal ), bust out or go home.

If you plan to play a lot of CET bartops, play 30/6/5 "Bonus" (96.18%) instead of 6/5 JoB. The paytable is exactly like 6/5 JoB (95.00%), but pays an extra 25 credits for a quad with a max bet! At all CET properties, Bonus is better than JoB at bartops. This applies to almost any strip property as well. Strategies are nearly identical.

Am playing the dollars at the bonus progressive near the keno lounge that is listed at vp2free. Progressive at $1200 and change last night.

Bingo at GVR. Used the myvegas 2 buffet comp - good standard breakfast food and made to order omelette.

Played vp for a couple of hours on the dw 100% payback in the non smoking section, some nickle triple play spin poker and penny wheel poker.

Waiting for bingo to start. $22 for basic electronic pack included 2 drinks and s donut
