I just reached the 150,000 point level and am awaiting my 'invitation' to join Seven Stars. I am excited but have many questions that I am hoping y'all can help with.

    1) Will I be able to attend one of the Signature Events this June? If so, do you recommend Vegas or Lake Tahoe? We love Vegas, but a new place might be fun.

    2) Will I still be able to collect my Diamond Level 2 comp (4 nights and $750 airfare) or do I need to hurry before I am officially a Seven Star member?

    3) My husband is at Diamond Level 1 now. Is it better to play on his card now vs. accumulate more points on mine to try and get a Signature Experience or better comps on my card?

    3) For the free cruise, we had considered visiting the southern California casino then taking a cruise from LA to the Mexican Riviera. Good plan or not?

Any help with making the most of my hard-earned comps would be appreciated! Thanks so much! Carol

Congrats!!! Concur with everything said above. So you have the 7* and the diamond aspirations II trips to use and then you get another 7* trip after 31MAR2016. Also, check out http://www.sevenstarsinsider.com website. Has some very good info on 7* benefits and what each location has to offer. You also get a companion 7* card you can give to someone.

Regarding which card for hubby to play on....

Most comps/offers are tied to play, not to level. As a 7-Star, you will already get any 7-Star specific offers.

Something to remember about the Southern California cruise is that Norweigian does not offer that one year round. Also Harrahs Southern California gives 7 Stars 2 free buffets per day.

And they have a pretty decent buffet, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings.

New Orleans is a place to consider departing from on the cruise. You can walk to the cruise terminal from harrahs and a couple of their partner properties. Once again I think Norwegian cruises out of their seasonally.

The "free" cruise means that you don't pay the base price. You still have to pay taxes, port fees, travel to port, and anything you spend on board. Still a great deal if you want to do a cruise, but will end up costing quite a bit.

I just did my annual 7 Stars cruise out of New Orleans in March and I combined that with the annual retreat ($1200 flight credit and $500 resort credit). My host had no problem with booking my airfare 8 days apart but only booking me for one night in a hotel room. Said people do that all the time. Harrahs NO was booked so he put me in the Riverside hotel across the street. Also arranged limo both ways. After the cruise we walked to Harrahs and there was a limo waiting for us there. Also if you do the annual retreat at Harrahs NO you get $500 in reward credits added to your card, so you do not have to use up any of the credit on that trip.

If I sail out of NOLA, I would get a room the night before (Saturday night) the cruise and then one night the Sunday we returned. Sometimes they would be booked up that Saturday night at the Harrah's hotel, so I would choose the "Omni Riverfront Hotel" (that is what it is called now). It is just about across the street from the port road you can walk down. Very convenient, if your luggage rolls.

You shouldn't just have to wait to get your invitation. Call your host. I contacted my host when I hit Seven Stars and he then submitted the request then I was officially Seven Stars the next day.

If you do use your Seven Stars Annual Retreat for New Orleans, you get 50,000 in reward credits which you can convert to free play on a $100 to 12,500 RC ratio once you are Seven Stars.

I agree. I did the same thing. I let me host know and it only took a day or 2 tops. Just make sure you don't have any outstanding markers.

This reminds me of a funny story. The first time I made seven stars I reached the point threshold about 10 days before a Vegas trip. This is back when Caesars Las Vegas still had a seven star’s lounge and being a seven star meant more in general than it does these days.

It got down to a couple days before the trip and I still hadn’t been officially upgraded so I talked to my local host who printed a seven stars card for me. I get to Vegas and everything is working fine as far as getting into the lounge and any other perks associated with it. Until one night we go to the Total Rewards desk at Harrah’s to get the free monthly show tickets. The lady at the booth notices that the system doesn’t show me as being seven stars. In a tone that suggested I stole thousands of dollars she says to me, “where did you get this card?” I explained that my local host had issued me the card and noted that she could see that my tier score was over the required amount in her system. I said something to the effect of, “what’s the big deal, I’m over the required points”. She gave me the death stare and said, “this is VERY serious”. Anyway, she confiscated my seven stars card and we did get the tickets but I will always remember her saying that.

    From Seven Stars Insider:

Just earning 150,000 tier credits in a calendar year does not automatically grant you Seven Stars status. You must be invited to join! Also, once you achieve 150,000 credits, it can take a couple weeks to get your credentials. The reason for the delay is that Caesars checks to make sure you don't have any outstanding financial obligations to the company, and that you don't have any complaints for disruptive behavior.

    ----------------------------------------------------

Now, I know that didn't apply to you, nor am trying to make excuses for the employee's behavior. Just trying to show that there are two sides to every story.

Totally agree. I didn't even mean to imply she was wrong. I just thought it was kind of funny how seriously of an offense she thought it was that I had a seven stars card. Particularly in contrast to a local host giving me a seven stars card.

When I first made 7stars, on totalrewards.com it automatically changed my card to 7star...now I did the have any debts or problems in the casino...the next day after I passed 150k points I went to total rewards and asked for my new 7star card. The guy said they have to approve you first, he said come back tomorrow and you'll be good. I went back the next day and they printed me 2 new 7star cards, then immediately I put a friend on as a companion...

What's funny is your supposed to only give 1 person a companion card per year...after march 31st this year my friend goes and gets his upgraded companion card without mw...next day I bring my girl over and tell them I need to put her on as my companion, no questions asked they give her a 7* companion card...

Once I hit 7 Star, we played on my wife's card to get her to 80000 for the free trip. I think it hurt my ADT as my FSP and room credit offers were not near what others were. This year we are much more focused on ADT and my offers are coming back up.
