After tens of thousands of hands.....

Down through the years I've played tens of thousands of hands of vp with all the premium hands somehow managing to miss my machine. The frustration reading people's trip reports and their multiple royals just seems unfair at times.

This trip was not at an ordinary casino but believe it or not on a cruise ship. I don't play a bunch when on a cruise, only maybe 5 hours in four days but my good fortune had never been better.

In the five hours I played I hit 4oak multiple times including aces with and without a kicker and was dealt my first royal ever. Hit the royal on the last night aboard the ship, spent the rest of the night grinning every time I thought about it (which was about a thousand times or so, once for every dollar).

Your first was a dealt royal?!!! That makes it extra special. I have had a few royals but my dealt one is still my favorite.

That being said, 6/5 DDB???? That made me cringe a bit! Those cruise ships truly do have a captive audience to be able to get away with that nonsense

Machine locked up, didn't have to hold anything.

Was wondering if anyone would notice the pay table. I saw the 6/5 but would rather play than do nothing. Captive audience and not that many machines to choose from. Every 4oak and the straight flush was hit on the same machine.

We did pretty decent at tables too. Hit a 3 of a kind playing three card and also had a good streak on bj table where I doubled or split it seems like every third hand or so and hit just about every one of them.

What an incredible 5 hours! On a cruise ship of all places and all on the same machine. I confess to playing on cruise ships too for an hour or so a night. Who cares what the odds are, it's part of the entertainment budget. Royals pay 4000 no matter where you are!

A couple of great wins. I have played a lot on cruises (hubby and I have done 63 days,58 and 31 days) along with lots of short ones. Never had anything to great other than a 1000.00 slot win! Neptune was with you that time~ Congrats!
