Isn't it nice that if you are a Platinum Club Member at those Strip Hotel Casinos they now will waive your resort fee. So, if you lose enough money they will throw you a few crumbs back.

We had the opportunity to vote with our pocketbooks but we took it in the rear without too much of a fight.

I hate resort fees. They're a scam. I refuse to stay in any hotel casino or "Resort" that charges a resort fee.

OK, maybe they don't want me anyway because I don't run thousands of dollars through a slot machine that takes up to 10% of every single play every time I pull that handle or push that button.

Do you have any Idea what the cost per hour is to play a dollar slot at 3 units per play?

I'll never be platinum at any Strip Resort.

Yeah, I just started sleeping every night at the airport. Problem is, the cab fare is $40 each way to the strip and back.

    Sorry but ditto - :evillaugh

I figure the entire cost and amenities for the entire cost. Why cut off your nose to spite your face or stay at a substandard hotel that is farther away than you want to be? If you feel it is effective for you the more power to you. I prefer to stay at a decent hotel on the strip and I am okay with the resort fees if it fits my budget. Val

Resort fees don't bug me. I think most people just don't like the term. Just like reality tv. We know the shows are nit real and resent the term.

If they just said there is a tax of $30 per night I think we would be more accepting.

I will keep going to vegas thiughfees, taxes,or whatever they call it. Still a bargain.

I like that link. Seems my expected losses are about $48 per 10 hours. Not a bad deal.

Is it really any different than the airlines saying their flight costs $200, and then taxes, fees, and seat assignment and bag charge are thrown in, and you are paying $389?

Well I think the resort fees are a bargain. just came from Atlantis in the Bahamas where the resort and haha fees were about 700 or so for 7 nights. Now that was sickening. Im sick just thinking of it again. I had 1000s and 1000s of dollars comped but not the fees and taxes on the room, food and beverage. That came out to another 900 or so! So, the resort fees in Vegas are reasonable. Don't like them and don't pay for them but don't like them.

I hear they are going to add a 20% fee to the $20 trick.
