I have deposited front money with the Mirage but know I will be playing pai gow tiles and baccarat at Aria and MGM. What is the process for getting funds at another casino within MGM-Mirage.

I believe they are independent of one another when it comes to front money and lines of credit and you would need to get the money from the casino you sent the money to.

Because you are a "front money" player, I'm sure that they will try to find a way to do this, but be advised that for the purposes of accounting, each casino operates as a separate entity.

As an example (I'm sure that you know this), marker privileges must be opened separately for each casino.

I would suggest asking at the originating (Mirage) cage, but they may refer you to the destination (Aria or Bellagio) cage.

I have had properties exchange large denomination chips for me with no problem in the past. They usually just call over to the cage, verify some of my details with whichever casinos chips I am using, and good to go

you can just go to the cage at Aria/MGM and they can do a transfer from your Mirage account. I've done this many times before.

however, this is mostly used when you're actually moving casinos. it's a pain to do just to play a session of some tiles. it's not instant by any means and they will not like going through the hassle for a small amount.

your best bet is to get chips at Mirage and take them over to Aria/MGM. they accept them just fine.

i would just get some of the cash from your front money and then play at aria.
you can always redeposit it back at the mirage if needed.
sounds like your way will be a pita, just my 2 centavos

Sounds like grabbing some chips is the way to go. If transferring was a simple process I would go that route but sounds like it will be more of a pain than it is worth. Thanks for the info guys. Is it correct to assume that 1k or 5k chips from other mgm properties need to be changed at cage or can they do them at table?

How much are we talking about? Can you just cash out and take to the other casino?

as shifter said, just carry the chips down, they will make a call to verify you don't have any outstanding markers and then exchange them. problem solved.

10K just one stack of Benjamin. put in your pocket and go to wherever you want to play. no big deal.
I usually put in my pockets more than that, never worried or had any problem.
