    My Trip Report

I've never done a trip report before so I figured I'd try one out and see how it goes. If I like it I may end up doing another one for my trip report to Vegas in a few weeks.

I didn't have a trip planned to the casino this weekend but you know how things go. It started yesterday morning when my Aunt bought a new mattress and asked if my Dad and I could go pick it up for her so that she could save on the delivery charge. While we were doing this one thing lead to another and we decided to take a quick trip up to Spokane (about a two hour drive) to do a few things and then hit the casino on the way home. This is a Vegas board so I won't bore with you much of the non-casino action, however we did stop at D. Lish's Hamburgers which is basically a clone of In-N-Out. The menu is the same, the prices are pretty much the same, and it is awesome. Simply put, its the closest you can get to In-N-Out on the Eastern side of Washington. I also ended up getting a new suitcase which will be put into use for the first time on my trip to Vegas next Month.

Enough of the boring shit though, lets get to the Casino! I jumped at the idea of going to the casino since I had received a mailer for February stating that if I check in at the players club anytime in February I would get 5,000 points added to my card. It's not worth that much, but if I'm already there I'm not going to turn down free money. After that I started off playing a White Hot slot machine and was treading water for a bit when I finally ended up hitting 10 free spins. After a couple of the free spins I hit for another 10 free spins and figured that the wins would start rolling in. I was wrong. I was quickly reminded that the gambling gods like to toy with your feelings and give you 20 free spins only to allow you to give you a win that was 8 cents more than my initial bet. What a kick in the nuts. I ended up losing $10 at that machine and got the hell away from there.

At that time I decided it was time to play some blackjack. I wasn't looking to waste too much money since I have a trip next month so I found a $10 table and bought in for $100. My first hand was a blackjack and I never looked back from there. I was just flat betting $10 and was up $50 at the end of the first shoe. The second shoe was even better and I was pissed at myself that I wasn't being nearly as aggressive as I usually would have been. I don't remember the exact number, but I know the dealer busted on at least 5 or 6 straight hands at one point in the shoe. I was getting many double opportunities and when I wasn't I was getting dealt 18-20's. I ended up making $125 off of that shoe so at that time I was up $175. The third shoe started off pretty crappy and I lost $50 pretty quickly so I cashed out up $125. For the night I was up $115.

I walked around for a bit to find my dad and ended up sitting at some sort of 777 slot machine. I don't remember exactly which one it was but it was a 20 line machine so I threw in $20 and started betting $1 per spin. Once again I was treading water until I ended up hitting for $25 on one spin. I ended up playing it down to $40 and cashed out $20 ahead. Now I was up $135 for the night.

We decided to grab dinner in the sports bar there which has a huge 30'x10'TV. We watched the Kentucky-Florida game and Kentucky managed to pull it at the end. Florida couldn't hit a free throw and if they had made a few it might have been a different game. The food was good, I had the chicken wrap with garlic fries and my dad has the cheesesteak with garlic fries.

After dinner we hit the casino for a bit more and I decided to play Glitter Kitty. I don't really care for this slot but my Mom loves it and always wants me to play it for her. I ended up sitting down at a 4 play machine, two of the games were Glitter Kitty and the other two were Maltese Fortune. I threw $20 in just for the hell of it and started betting $1.50, the minimum amount for all four screens. I got down under $10 and then would get a few decent hits to get above $20. This went on a few times and I was happy that at least I was getting a decent amount of play. I was just under my $20 buy-in when I finally got 15 free spins. After a handful of spins I hit three bonus symbols again and received 15 more free spins. During the free games I was able to turn four of the symbols into wilds so the wins started racking up. I ended up making $367.70 on the 30 free spins. I played it down to $385 and cashed out . This put me up $500 even for the night

I figured I'd throw a few $5 bets on 17 and 20 so I walked over to the roulette wheels and what do I see? One of the wheels had hit 17 twice and 20 twice in the last 8 spins. The other wheel had hit 17 twice in the previous five spins. Both of the tables were packed but I was able to squeeze in and bet 17 and 20 on two spins.
Sadly they didn't hit so I we got out of there before I threw any of my winnings away. We jumped in the car and made the trip back to town.

All in all it was a great day with my father and it didn't hurt that I added $480 to my bankroll for next month!

Ouch, I hate it when that happens. I just can't imagine why it would be a good idea to program a machine in a way that something like this could happen. Glad you made it up in the end!
