Trip summary

Friday Night
After we got upgraded to the suite at Fremont we headed over to the D. After a little play there we met up with the rest of the group at 4Q. Headed over MSS. Dropped two guys off at Binions to play poker then headed to MSS to play at Boars Head. I love the Porter! The Cherry Stout was good.

Everyone met up at Boars Head and then headed over to 777 for a late dinner. I had the Ribeye it was really good. For drinks we had the 10% beer (I do not recall the name) Then to FSE where I was denied entry into any number of bars due to my Chicago Wolves hockey jersey. After finally convincing the rest of the group I was OK gambling alone, they went up the Gold Diggers at GN and I played at the bar top.

Left GN everyone else went to bed, I played craps at Fremont and VP, in bed 6AM

Saturday
I was first to rise at 9am. I headed out alone to play VP at Fremont then over to 4Q for Slots. Everyone met up around noon, the 4Q group dropped bags in my room at Fremont then we went to Du-Pars for breakfast. I left the table after eating and played bartop VP at GG and watched football.

After that we headed to the Plaza. Played in the $12 poker tournament. I got knocked out early. Headed to the bar to watch football and played VP. The young lady broke off from the group to go to our room to charge her phone (she is not much of a gambler)

While guys are still in the tourney I go to Fremont, pick the young lady up and head over to Flamingo to check in, shower and nap. While I am attempting to nap (failed) I hear her leave the next room. Thirty minutes later everyone show up. I send them out for food for me (pizza and fries)
I got connecting rooms at Flamingo. We were in Fab Luxury with a view of CP. The reaction to the room from the people staying at 4Q was priceless. You would have thought that I got them a Bungalow at Cosmo. I just smiled as I took in the congrats for a great place knowing the best was going to come the next day at Cosmo!
After pizza the guy I flew with and I head down and play Three Card. After getting crushed I play UTH and he played Pai Gow.

Then we head up to Wynn to meet up with Packer. After a successful crap session there, we leave and meet up with two other two guys on the strip and head to Cosmo. The young lady could not walk anymore due to her feet hurting from the absurd heels she wore on Thursday/Friday night. (She is short like 4’11” so I get it) I also come to find out in pain she walked on the strip to a payday loan store cause her bank got frozen and then after being denied cause she was not a NV resident had to walk back cause she had no cab $. That is why she left the room when I was sleeping! The next day I gave her $200 and asked why she just did not ask me. She wanted to “figure it out on my own” (not the sharpest tool in the shed) I am sad she missed a night out with us but happy in a way cause she would have slowed us down! LoL. She also wanted to go to 1 OAK, but the only OAK I was interested 4. No one else wanted to really go either.

Anyway after the guys meet up I take em to Cosmo to see the post Marquee eye candy and we play VP at Chandelier then slots. Around 5:30 am we head back to Flamingo, grab a slice of pizza then back to the room to bed.

Sunday

Wake up 9 AM again… Ugh another night 3 hours of sleep. I know I am headed for disaster, but you know…Vegas. I head downstairs to place a bet on the Packers -5.5. Play a little Video poker then back up to the room to wake up the Vegas lightweights to check out and move onto the Cosmo.
Young lady is still in pain but doing a little bit better. After some pain med she will be ok for the rest of the night.

Head over to Cosmo and many the reactions to the room by the group were priceless. I should have recorded them! I paid for an upgrade to the Terrace Studio for $35 per night on my comped two nights. The friend I flew out with originally balked at this fee (when it was just us two) but I heard no complaints now. Gentlemen the rooms at the Cosmo are definitely panty droppers!

Finally the young lady comes clean as to where she disappeared to the night before. I tell her if she needed Cash should have asked me. I offer her $200 and ask if she needs more to let me know. I am promised “something that belongs in the after dark section in return “someday”. Let’s call it BlackJack….To which one of my quick witted buddies goes “Today is SOMEDAY!”
After lots of pictures in the room and on the balcony the young lady heads to breakfast with her cousins (Vegas residents) and the four guys head down for a brunch at the Henry. I got the short rib Benedict (awesome) and the table split a cinnamon roll French toast. At this point the two nights of 3 hrs of sleep are hitting me hard but I persevere.
We head over and play some Casino War for a little bit, them a $5 slot pull in the High Limit room. 1 line double diamond. I wanted to do $40 per person but everyone did $20. One guy was out of $ but we let him pull anyway and in hindsight I should have bankrolled his $20 and I did at War, oh well. We hit absolutely nothing. The two brothers breakoff to get ready for their flight that evening then I head over to check out the UTH limits. At $10 and being up for the trip so far I decide to sit down. I borrowed $100 from my buddy because the rest of the cash was in the safe. I plopped $200 on the table and settled in.

Almost right away I am down $100. Man UTH is swingy. I slowly build up my bankroll back to even. I get a K4 and go “all in for $40” and win with King high! I never really bet the trips bet when I played this game as (unsure if that is wise or not?) After doing at again with an A low kicker I decided I would be the Trip bet for the dealer and myself. Then I caught fire. Winning lots of small hands and a few All Ins. Also got straights/flushes 3 or 4 times on the trips bet. So the dealer did well, because with every winner I had I replaced her bet and mine. The old gamblers fallacy of not messing with a streak I suppose. After 2 plus hours of playing I cash out with a $400 win. At this point in the trip I am up over $750. Also does anyone know how Theo is calculated at this game? Cause the initial bet is $20, does it take into consideration the raises?

Head back to the room and throw my purple chip at one buddy, high five all around. Who needs sleep? The brothers leave for the flight. My buddy and I go to Stitched to look for a black shirt for him. I eye a nice had but balk on buying it. On the way up to the room, my buddy says “You should buy that hat. What a great story it would be to say ‘I went to Vegas, won a lot of money and bought this hat’” That was all the convincing I needed! He did not find a shirt so I directed him to Ross. Of course he did not listen to me, and ended up in the miracle mile shops.
I got to the room shower, then light up a cigar, turn on some music and sit alone to take in Vegas and bask in my winning glory. The young lady returns with the beer I requested for the room to make the night even better.

Any tips or comments on my live portion would be great. I know there is room to improve it, was it to picture heavy? Or not enough information/context? Also excuse my grammar/spelling typos. I am not proofreading with 100% attention to detail!

 

At UTH, K4 off is technically a check, but K5 off is a 4X, so it isn't a big mistake. All ace highs are 4X. Did the ploppies at the table think you were crazy?

I think word content was good.

A lot of quad pics in there which I don't mind, but not everyone is addicted to vp like I am. A few more generic vegas scenery pics and food porn if you remember to take them.

At best this is very nitpicky. I rescanned all your pics, and you had more food porn than I thought. And not as many quads (~17) as I first thought. Hell I got 11 in Tunica, ran good there.

Live TRs are a bitch to do especially for people like me who ramble on with detail...lol You did very well, imo.

 

Yeah I have some other pics, but with my group in it. I kept those out. As for food porn, my meals are cut in Vegas so the sit down restaurants I put in there, but I did not think someone wanted to see my fruit cup/coffee dinner one night! But I will add more of that next time. I will also go through my phone and see if there is more to add later on at the end. I thought that to myself. I have little pictures of the group and Vegas but all food and VP porn!


No one really comment on my bet at the table.

Trig, I hit one at dollars unfortunately the phone was dead. There are a few more I did not get in there... my sessions were shorter than I hoped due to everyone being there. But I would say I got in maybe 10 total hours...

Thanks breanna it means a lot. .. yeah it was difficult mostly due to lack of sleep, that why I am posting a more detailed one after the fact.. it is easy to post pics but hard for me to put in details. The rest of it should be done tomorrow.

 

Sunday Cont….
My buddy and young lady get ready as I play Sinatra and other music to set the mood for the night. I continue the sitting outside and finishing my cigar. We all take pictures on the terrace and head downstairs to take a taxi to Luxor. I have a myVegas award for Fantasy and $75 credit at Tender. The Fantasy was a last minute trade in because we did not attend the MGM buffet.

At Tender for starters we got a cheese platter and I had the lobster bisque. For entrée my buddy and I split the Tomahawk Ribeye and the young lady had the wild game trio. For “dessert” Sanderman 20 year port and my buddy had a White Russian (the dude abides). At this point the total lack of sleep the prior two night are catching up to me, but I push on, for the greater good.

We head up to the showroom get a Moscow melon mule and find our seats just as the lights go off. I am unsure if we missed an opening act. Fantasy is hands down the best topless show I have seen in Vegas. I’ve seen X at Flamingo, Zumanity at NYNY (does this count? I mean there are boobs right?) and Exxxotica at Rio (gone now). In order I’d go Fantasy, Zumanity, X and Exxxotica. I’d see Fantasy again, because you know…boobs. Our seats were the middle section dead in the middle. Perfect.

I do not know if myVegas is worth this. We got the companion ticket cause that was all I could get on a Vegas IP address. I am sure I could have gotten them at Tix4Tonignt, but I did not feel like walking in the rain to get them.

After that some 9/5 Jacks at Luxor, buddy plays slots and young lady sits next to me and texts. I got nothing to note here. We walk around and find a Rolling Stones machine to play together then caught the last tram to Excalibur (talk about luck!).

We cross bridge to NYNY and my buddy wants to play casino war. He loves casino war! We wanted to play Chuck a Luck (mostly to chant CHUCK A LUCK as the birdcage spins) but NYNY got rid of it. We then decide to play Pai Gow poker, I banked every hand I could until someone else sat down betting $100 a hand. Young lady leaves our side to go back to Cosmo to get food. After an hour or so we play the Giant slot machine, pulling the handle in various funny ways. We head out, stop at CVS for food and head back to the room.

Get to the room, I wanted to sleep, they wanted to watch TV so I head down to the floor for VP and slots. Play 30 minutes I get back up and both are asleep.

I did not gamble much on Sunday really. I was trying to protect my winning trip. I am still not sure if I did right or not, from an experience standpoint.

I should finish the rest of the report today and will post later.... Next report I think I will come up with nicknames for my friends, cause my buddy, the brothers and young lady are lame!

 

Monday
I wake up to what I call the “highlight of my trip!” Like I said I always had little crush on the young lady. She is a short Latina with a huge booty, my type of woman! Anyway I shared a bed with my buddy because the couch in the 2Q room at Cosmo is not conducive to sleep on. I roll over after 5 hours of sleep (a record for this trip!) and see the young lady, in her black polka dot cheekini panties and that wonderful booty saying good morning! When she went to bed she had pants and I guess at one point got warm and took em off. The power of that booty was enough to keep me off the casino floor for the morning! She asked when she woke up if she mooned us, I hesitate and say “Yes, and it was glorious!” :evillaugh She'd jokingly call me an addict for gambling so much, I told her the only thing I am addict to is "dat booty"

They wanted to go see Titanic at Luxor, something I had no interest in going to see. I would have but I had my massage appointment at ESPA at 2 anyway. They pack up, and none of them wanted Wicked Spoon for brunch (rookie mistake) so we walk around PHo to find something then settle on the Gordon Ramsey Burger place. I am really tired and maybe hungover at this point the two feelings maybe merging! The burger I got was fantastic and so were the onion rings. I also got the crème brulee/oreo shake, which I do not think I need to tell you, was awesome!

Afterwards we cross over to Cosmo, and say our goodbyes. I head into Cosmo to make my National Championship bet, Ducks -6 and switched my bet to the over. Doh! $100 of my winnings gone. You’d think as a horseplayer I would never deviate from my original though. At first I wanted to bet the Buckeyes cause they were able to have unlimited practices and the under. Man I am stupid.

So here I am I finally have the solo trip I wanted, but then I began to miss my friends. That combined with the realization the trip I was planning for months in ending VD sets it.

I head over to Vdara from Cosmo but cross the street walk into Aria only to realize Vdara is next to Cosmo, double Doh! I redeem my 80 minute upgrade through myVegas and settle in. I was very disappointed with the spa itself. Maybe I thought it would be better. Only one temperature tub. The chairs were not comfortable. The steam and sauna was ok. I also have had better spa attendants as well, I did not see one after my initial arrival. Compare to the service I got at the Rio spa a few years ago I would not recommend this place.

I head back to the Cosmo relaxed and ready to take a nap…yeah that did not work. This is the first trip I have not been able to nap. After much deliberation I decided to go to MSS and Boars Head to watch the National Championship game. I take a taxi to save time since the game started already. I get there in the middle of QTR 2. I play VP the whole time then walk out to Fremont to buy my kid a few t-shirt, listen to the Elvis sing, and take in one more Viva Vision show then go to take the SDX to the Flamingo.

I needed to go to Flamingo cause one of the brothers left there with chips and a TITO that I bought from him to save time. Not wanting to go to Flamingo to just cash in a $14 TITO (I cashed chips at Cosmo), I offered it to a nice Canadian man (is there a thing as a not nice Canadian? I have not met one) I spoke hockey with the whole ride down. I told him I would take $10 for it, and I sold it to someone in his group. Getting to the stop and seeing the SDX let me off right at Cosmo’s front door, wise choice!

I head into Cosmo still on my mind I wanted a winning trip and I was down about $200 with the Ohio State boner and VP at MSS. I decided I would play VP and min bet some penny slots. Then the Batman hit happens! I go over and play some $1 WoF and the 9 line 25 cent monopoly before VP. This is the VP run where I hit 5555A in less than a minute from each other. Also well as another 4OAK. Tired I go to bed around two.

I wake up Tuesday and order room service and eat on the terrace, a wise choice. I go and take some of my winning and buy my wife an orange purse. Our wedding colors were navy and orange, Bears color and U of I colors that I picked out, yeah she is that awesome! I head down to try and hit Batman for another big win, nothing, then play Rolling Stones and break even. I ran $60 through the DSTP machine at max bet and of course no quads there. Head upstairs and say goodbye to Vegas until the next time. Who knows when that will be?

Vegas Depression is a really thing. I told the young lady the other day it was when she asked if she was feeling tired or sad the trip was over. I said “when you vacation other places, those places are somewhat normal. Vegas is anything but normal and you are missing that abnormality.”

Stats for the trip

I left up $630 :banana: not a huge win but enough to have me with the same amount of cash in my pocket I went to Vegas with, not many can claim that! Of course I spent some on the CC, but still a hell of a great feeling! I think leaving a winning trip is the best/worst feeling ever.

No great numbers to speak of 4k pts at Boyd all VP. Cosmo slot points 1200 mostly VP. I think this is impressive cause last trip I had 4 days at Cosmo and only had 1800 point at slots. I had 2800 total points to spend from my spending and table play. I hope my offers do not get reduce but I think they will.

I racked up 600 points at Plaza in like 1.5 hrs of VP and do not know the rest,
