Haven't been to Vegas since Feb 2014 and heading back for Superbowl

How does Cosmos points structure work?

I just checked mine and I have a tad over 100K (Platinum), how long do points stay active?

You will want to find out your anniversary date for reaching platinum. From there you have the status for a year, then it goes on a rolling 365. With platinum you have some free nights you can book that don't count against your THEO. I would get the Super Bowl nights booked now before you lose the status just in case!

Already booked my 4 night which included $600 FB and $4500 Free Play

So I assume my Room/FB/Free Play reduced my points and any new action will add to my new balance

Im normally a $750 ave bet BJ player and play 4-5 hours a day. Will that type of play keep me at Platinum

At your level of play, you should have a host, who should be able yo answer that question.

Yes I have a host but for some reason he is not very forthcoming with answers to my questions

Is it possible to request a change of hosts, Ive been with him for a 2 years and to be honest his service is a bit lame.

You redeeming comp offers like the email ones does nothing to your point balance. Unfortunately the only number you can see on their website is the points you have to spend on identity play or comps. Like mentioned before, you will want to find the date you hit your 100,000th point. That date is your anniversary and you will have plat for 1 year from that date. Maintaining your tier calls for earning another 100k before your anniversary. Though you could choose not to spend another dime and you'd be platinum for that year. Progression to the next tier looks at a rolling 365 day period. For you that's not relavent to while platinum but for everyone else it is. But let's say you're in a situation like me, my anniversary is dec 7. If I don't come in this weekend I should bump down to sterling. I have a chunk of points that should roll off of my 365 day window around valentines. But since I'm coming for super bowl, if I get back to 20k total I will get my gold back and get a new anniversary date. Who wants to play slots or vp with my card in the machine!?:evillaugh

As long as I earn 10k before Valentines I will be ok. I think I'm sitting at 10k points. Only 2 trips this past years instead of 3 or 4 so it's hurt my point accumulation. With a spa visit for the GF and I along with regular dining I should only have to generate around 5k points from gambling which won't be too tough. That's about $7500 coin in on slots or $35k on VP assuming i did no tables but I'll be hitting the dice table hard. I will also give free bet blackjack a go.

Also, does anyone know for sure when room charge points hit your identity account? Cause it seems like it'd cause some issues if it were daily and then you get back end comps. I'm at a negative point balance where I think they used Identity points to cover charges that my theo didn't cover but I think they used points first and then back end comps so charges that earned me points were comped off. I'm sitting at -1800 points, haha.

So it is a rolling 365 from when you first signed up. Unless you move up then the anniversary moves to that date?

My first visit to Cosmo was Aug 2013. I had 2800 points on that trip. Then this July I had 1800 pts, does that mean that this Jan I am back to 0 in terms of tier points having missing Sterling by about 400 or so points? Or do the 1800 carry till next July and the 2800 dropped off.

Sorry BayouBengal I read and reread you post but could not apply it to my situation. Sorry I am so dumb. :grrr:

Points roll off one year from when you earned them, it doesn't matter when you signed up. Your Aug 2013 trip's points roll off in Aug 2014. And when you went in July 2014 you had a total of 4600, just 400 shy of Sterling. The 1800 earned in July 2014 will count towards making status until July 2015.

Assuming you are "Silver", the system is always looking back 365 days to see how many you have earned. Back in July the system looked back 365 days and saw 4600 points so you stayed Silver. Based on what you stated If you earn 3200 before July 2015 you will become Sterling since your Aug 2013 points are long gone but your July 2014 are still counting. You will be that status for 1 year starting on the date you earned the 5,000th point.

Thanks that makes sense and that is what I thought, but then was confused when you mentioned anniversary dates. I will check my current status when I check in. My numbers may have been fuzzy for the 2013 trip. So it is possible I hit Sterling in July. I assume they will not tell you and you will find out when you get a new card.

Either way thank you for clarifying.

It's a hassle to get much information out of them a lot of times. They by far have the worst website when it comes to players clubs but yet they comp me the best of anyone on the strip so I will stick with them until they give me a reason to move. Shoot an email to [email protected] and ask for an "Identity Tier Calculator report." If that doesn't get you anywhere at least go to the Identity desk and have them give you an update. Also once you hit Sterling make sure the slot machine says you are getting your multiplier, mine did not register initially but I only did a few spins before I went to the desk. 5 minutes later I was back on a machine getting my multiplier. Also to be clear, the multiplier does NOT help you advance more quickly, it just builds up the points you can spend. The number you see on the machine display is your points that you can spend, not your tier points. The only way I know to get that is to ask the Identity desk or send them an email.

I haven't been there in >12m. I still have points, at least according to the website. Pretty sure my status is gone though (based on my recent offers). Their Identity website is one level above the crappy Grazie site.

The points you see on the site are the points you can spend. Like for me it shows me as -1800 points because of the order things were comped. I think they applied my points to my bill first and then back end comps causing me to be negative. But identity didn't make it seem like it was a big deal. It's only $18 so it's nothing big. Though I am NOT -1800 in regards to my tier.

I've never gambled at v/p, if cosmo site is better.....wow. It's like the nicer the casino, the shittier the players club website.

So then the points last forever, but the tier points are counted in a rolling 365 basis?

I was looking for my W/L on there and was surprised I could not find. I know I can email them for it and I do not need just, I just was curious.... Same with tier points no where to be found!

I don't know if points last forever as I've always visited within 12 months of my last visit or spent all of my points before leaving. I would have guessed they expired after 1 year of no gaming but perhaps that's. It the case. Would be a good question for identity.

Yeah I am the same way I always try to use all my points prior to leaving. Except at CET casinos, cause there are two near me so I won't lose them if I do not go back to Vegas in over a year.

It seems most places have a year from last visit for reward points (not tier).
