I wasn't an avid Car Talk listener but I managed to listen to many of their shows, often via podcast. It's funny stuff, the brothers played off each other so well. RIP!

Avid listener. Click was one of my heroes. I always wanted to call in and try to stump the chumps. but I drive Toyotas and they don't break.

I really hate to see that happen! :(

I'm an occasional listener. Around here it's during my usual drive time on Saturday so I'm often listening even though cars are not really my thing. They are, genuinely, funny and entertaining.

One thing that used to annoy me (and they appear to have somewhat gotten the hint) is the difference between how they handle men and women callers. However, the part I remember most about any of the episodes was this zinger which got them right back!

Them: Hi, and who do we have on the line?
Caller: This is Debbie from Amherst.
Them: Is that "Debby" with a "y"?
    Caller: No, it's Debbie with a "D"!

    Touche' :)

What I like most is the puzzler, and some of them have had me totally stumped and thinking about it for a week, kinda like the LV Trivia question here. :)

Enjoyed the show whenever I happened to stumble upon it. They've been playing reruns for the last two years.

I just started listening to them awhile ago. I had no idea they were just re airing old shows and that they retired in 2012.
