Downtown Grand towers?

Just booked a last minute trip for my wife and I to LV to attend the Sammy Hagar Birthday Bash concert downtown at the new events center on October 18th. Booked a standard king room at the Downtown Grand for the 17th & 18th. I have not stayed at the Downtown Grand so dont know if one tower is better than the other or if I should make any special room request when we check in.

Casino Tower, east side away from the Hogs and Heifers band.

I have only stayed in the casino tower because it's closer to the casino and you don't have to cross that tunnel. I've been told the other tower is quieter. my room was fine (granted I was only in in from about 3a - 8a daily).

 

I stayed in the casino tower facing Hogs n Heifers and did not have a noise problem. And it was the weekend. I like the Grand. The people are super nice. Only thing I don't love is the weird half door shower but it doesn't bother me so much as to not stay there again.

 

I've stayed in both towers. If you want a quieter room, as others have said, go with the east side if you are in the casino tower. Go with the west side if you are in the other tower. The standard king rooms we had were virtually identical in the two towers. It's a nice place, as they gutted and rebuilt the interiors of both towers. It wasn't a superficial remodel.

 

Played in the casino Oct 6 2014. Good rules and odds on casino games on both shoe and double deck blackjack games. I approve!! Quiet elegant casino and short walk the Fremont street experience. Sorry have not stayed there yet so no opinion on the rooms
