    My Trip Report

Needing to use up a voucher with United by the end of the year and having felt like we earned some R&R, I suggested my wife pick an artist and wherever they are performing we'll go there. Well, she loves country music and discovered many of her favorites are playing in Vegas...lucky for her I will go to Vegas for just about any reason, even if it means spending valuable gambling time listening to songs about having beers with Jesus or beers on a pontoon or beers on a river, etc.

Did some quick research and discovered the inaugural Route 91 Harvest Country Music Festival (http://rt91harvest.com) is taking place from October 3-5. A quick search on United we found some flights at reasonable times with just a short layover in Denver for just $300 out of pocket on only 8 days notice. A few calls around to Mlife properties before I finally found a property that wasn't blacking out Friday and Saturday offers, great news (or bad news depending on how you feel about the pyramid) is it's Luxor which is right across the street from the Fest! Snagged 3 nights with Friday and Saturday comped on an offer and a very low rate for Sunday, nice they don't screw you over and just give the cheapest nights for free...

Scored some discounted Fest tickets on Stubhub and we were set in under an hour from when we decided to make it happen!

Other than the loads of country music, the plan will be to maximize our almost 4 days by squeezing in as much gambling, pool time, and good food as possible! We might have a drink or 50 along the way too...

I hope to do some liveish updates with chip, VP, and slot porn plus shots of the festival. Pretty interested to see the setup at MGM Resort Village.

    36 hours to takeoff!

36 hours in the books! Yesterday was a gambling bloodbath, today has been better. The country festival has been really fun, very well organized and well attended. Vegas food is not disappointing, China Pablano for dinner tonight is the highlight, just epic food on this National Taco Day (look it up!) the dim sum is alright too! I highly recommend the High Roller Happy Half Hour, extra five bucks and we got 3 and 4 drinks respectively.

I have a bunch of pics but tapatalk is not playing nice with Verizon [emoji30]
