Oh, and the irony of the Gelato shop located just inside from the pool was not lost on me.

After a couple hours at the pool, we decided to clean up and try the Bellagio Lunch Buffet. We were thrilled that we didn't have to walk all the way through the casino to eat. I have buffet pics on another device and will share later. This was a bargain with a capital B! $22, add on unlimited sangria or other specialty cocktails for an extra $12.99. I said yes please! We had skipped breakfast so we were hungry. Went about 1:30 so too early to stay for dinner. The service was excellent! Clearly, you feel like you are at an upscale resort. They had everything your heart could desire - even breakfast! My favorite was the cavatelli pasta with a lemon cream sauce with green peas, pancetta and bacon. The wagyu sliders was a close 2nd. My favorite dessert was the plain cheesecake. It was so light and fluffy.

The buffet offers gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, and sugar free options. So they can accommodate all dietary needs.

Side note, we kept having inconsistent issues with front desk. Either they are surly and rude, or very nice. This is a hiring and training issue that someone should be held accountable for. My compliments to Jennifer Corona. You should ask for her or Jacob when talking to a front desk manager. Avoid Eric. I certainly hope he isn't training new hires. Macy our front desk agent was great, too. But I saw enough problems guests were having with other agents to know this isn't an isolated event.

Later we checked out Paris & Planet Hollywood. PH is looking more dated than I remembered. The mall still brings people in the doors, tho. Paris is as elegant and refined as I remember.

A quick trip to Tix4Tonite and we had primo seats to Jersey Boys. They were 90 each and I had a coupon. I may have been able to find a similar deal online, but we're happy. The show was sensational! The story combined with the music was fantastic.

We drove down the strip, traffic not too bad. Ended up at Fremont Street for a peak of what lies ahead for us on Friday.

I had one person ask for money as we got out of the parking garage at Neonopolis. But no worries. Lots of street performers. I did see cops detain 2, not sure for what.

Closed the night at The Rio. Enjoyed the casino, then went up to Voodoo Lounge. Self parking at the Rio isn't as bad as people have said.

Called it a night, now I'm up early and enjoying my soaking tub. Might check out the outlets later. We have limo ride scheduled at 6, want to do a show after that

Two things I love to do at Bellagio: Have coffee at Palio, and people watch and listen to the piano while drinking at Petrossian Lounge by the lobby/casino.

Good start! I guess we weren't the only ones dealing with bad front desk people this trip.
