I am at THEHotel/Delano now...not too bad. I am in a VSuite and had a regular room booked at MB for family. During checkin at Delano, I asked if they could switch the MB room over to Delano. That room ended up being a renovated Delano suite, while my V Suite looks like it is still THEHotel. The panoramic windows are nice, but it really cuts the size of the bedroom. I actually prefer the regular suite over the V Suite. Elevator area is really cramped. There is still some construction going on, leading to the casino, so the privacy walls make the walkway pretty narrow. This is a nice property, but I will reserve my final judgement until the end of the weekend.

That's interesting i've never had them offer to upgrade me for Free to TheHotel, maybe it's beause they are not full with the construction going on. They have offered for a paid upgrade to TheHotel. I like the location of TheHotel in non-pool season, but in the summer I would rather stay in Mandalay.

If MB freshened up the decor of the rooms, I would stay there exclusively. I really enjoy the brightness and fresh smell in the mornings. Especially after long nights!!!

For us.... it's still, the best overall property, on the strip.

Perhaps, but they seemed pretty booked this weekend, with 3 concerts going on between MB and MGM. Perhaps the tier benefit of free room upgrade actually works at MB/Hotel.

The pillows were a joke. The ones that came with the room couldn't possibly be used by a human to sleep on. They were overstuffed and if you laid on your back, your chin would be forced into your neck. (That's the best visual I can come up with)

We called housekeeping and asked for some softer pillows. We waiting a bit and then finally took off for the casino and left a note with a tip. When we came back, the new pillows were on the bed and identical to the ones they replaced. They also left the original pillows in the room. [emoji35]

We called down again and they brought pillows that were nice.
The room was very nice but the pillow part was ridiculous.

Ending up getting stuck in an old school THEHotel suite. Not a fan of not getting what I was offered, but it's still a nice room. That said, I would not stay there until the construction is complete. Too many options in Vegas to stay anywhere with open construction dominating the lobby.

I still love Mandalay Bay and would happily give Delano a shot once the transition is complete.

Hopefully all the construction is now complete. I will be trying out the Delano in two days. TheHotel was my favorite so we will see.
