Nascar parade of strip

    Trips to Las Vegas:

    Could anyone tell me which night the trucks of Nascar parade the strip? I was there 2 years ago and it was either Wednesday or Thursday night before the weekend race.

    Yes, I was also there two years ago and heard all the hubbub about the South Strip being shut down for the Nascar parade. I got my spot near the Excalibur and waited to enthralled by the actual Nascar race cars. To my disappointment, it was only the semis that haul the cars, not the cars itself.

    Having the cars go down the strip would be better.

    Having the cars go down the strip and have to negotiate the traffic would be funnier. Especially because you know some crazy Russian cabbie would want to buck up and try to get his Crown Vic rollin' against one.
