I've never seen such a thing either, but then I ALWAYS have their tip and a smile waiting for them after they've walked all over the place to bring me a cold beverage. I think decent customers subscribe to this practice!

If I did not get $1 per drink from a player, I would not go back to him.

I typically tip $1 drink for water or soda, $2 per drink for Alcohol.

Never here either but I'm mostly at CET prop's. BTW, just like at a bar, first drink is a bigger tip and then a buck for each drink or water or whatever.

Definitely $1 per drink and have it ready for when she returns. She has 10 drinks to give out and especially on the machines where people move around a lot she needs to get the drinks to the location quickly.

I generally overtip. However, if I ordered two separate rounds of VIRGIN drinks in a row and the CW brought drinks with alcohol in them, I would certainly consider not giving a tip. What is your wife is pregnant and/or a recovering alcoholic and the CW keeps brining alcohlic drinks instead of virgin drinks?

Sounds to me like the OP clarified that he wanted a VIRGIN drink, yet the CW still brought him one with alcohol. Not sure why he is being chastised for not tipping. He didn't get what he wanted....why should CW get what she wanted?

Agree with if you cant spend a minimum of a buck a drink at least then you should be doing something else, hell go to the bar and see what that same drink costs ya then bitch about it, or slow service. Good CWs work their asses off, I have two friends here and one in LV that are CWs and some of the crap they put up with, esepcially from some of the HRs I would KTFO the person for, job or no job. I always tip at least 2 bucks and the first round a 5 and I always get great service from doing that.

    The heck we don't.

Every single one of us judges other people's habits and actions every single day. Dozens of times. It is my right as a human being to judge people by whatever standards I see fit. And it is everybody else's right to judge me right back. It's called "public opinion."

That said, nothing chaps my buttocks more in Vegas (or anywhere else, for that matter) than cheapskate tippers. If you can't "afford" or be bothered to tip, you shouldn't be in the casino in the first place.

I have never seen a table that doesn't have $1 chips, no matter what the table minimums. Either way, you should sit at a table prepared with some singles. Tipping less than a buck per drink, every drink , even if its in a thimble sized shot glass, is just plain cheap. If you can afford to gamble, you can afford a buck a drink.

His point was that he is tipping $5, not that he isn't tipping. I don't play Bacc, but I could see that's entirely possible they don't have one dollar chips-it's a high end game.

This. There is a gal at Casino Royale, Patty, that I have stopped twice and told her to slow down just a second or two, so she can make more money. She just drops the drink and is off like a rocket.

oh, that is the minimum for sure. you can't tip $1 in the HL room. but that's what i'm saying, paying $5 for 2 waters when i'm by myself kind of sucks. just a cost to value kind of thing. but if i've got a group and everybody orders something i tip $25 and feel fine about it.

they really don't have $1 chips at the Bacc tables. really. but even if i pulled out $1 cash from my wallet, that wouldn't matter. $5 is just the minimum you can tip in the HL room. you're better off giving nothing than $1.

In my opinion a minimum of at least $1.00 per drink, for each drink ordered, is reasonable and fair. I tip $2.00 per drink every single time.

I carry $2 bills for tipping the cocktail waitresses. It gets you noticed and they come back around more often.

That's a good idea. I always take $100 in small bills for tipping, and I never tip less than $2, even for pop. I might just have to try that.

One of these trips I'm going plan far enough ahead to do what an uncle used to do. He'd go to the bank, get $100 in $2s, then stack them very neatly with a piece of cardboard from a shirt package cut to fit on the bottom and paint one end of the stack with rubber cement. That gave him a "pad" of tips. Whenever the CW came by, he'd pull the pad from his shirt pocket and peel off her tip.

Got him noticed, it did. :D
