NBA to start season in December

The New York Knicks like the talent available near the end of the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft. The team moved up Wednesday, acquiring the No. 23 pick from the Utah Jazz, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Lakers are looking to buy a 2nd round pick.

 

76ers are sending a 2025 first-round pick and the 34th overall pick in tonight's draft. The Thunder are also sending Terrance Ferguson to the Sixers with Green.

 

That’s a trade that works for the Sixers....I think they are one player away from a championship....

 

Sixers unloaded Al Horford as part of that trade.

 

Unloaded a big salary for someone that didn’t really fit in. I’m not saying I don’t like the guy...

 

Horford has 3 more seasons under contract at ~ $27 million/season. Danny Green has one at $15.4 million (corrected). Math in favor of Philadelphia & Daryl Morey.

 

I agree......76ers are one player away from being serious favourites.

Simmons doesn't shoot and Embiid just plays wrong. If Simmons learns to just shoot enough to keep the defender honest and Embiid decides to come in shape and stay that way and they get a really good #3 player, then maybe.

 

Now you got Klay Thompson hurt his leg in practice today . They don't know the severity. Might change the complexion of the draft .

The whole team plays wrong. They get a true point guard....VV?? Move Simmons to the 3. Now you’ve got a team....offensively and defensively.

An NBA source in the know about Klay Thompson’s injury simply answered to me: “Not good.”

 

I think IMO Ball goes to Warriors now.

Warriors draft James Wiseman, an absolute stud who is probably already better than JaVale McGee who went to the Lakers but was originally a huge cog for GS. If he can pass even a little bit, he will fit right in with Steph, Draymond and Wiggins. Eric Paschall can replace Thompson until he is ready. Although 7-1 to win it all might be a bit too low for an actual wager.
