Jealous that you were able to do Red Rock. We where there for 9 days over the last few weeks. The heat wave had some days over 110+. Even the mornings seemed to hot to hike. Glad temps dropped a bit and you were able to enjoy the hike! Great pictures!

Another day, another donut and kolache from District.

Looked at my Identity activity to see if the stats matched up with the feeling that last night on slots was absolutely brutal. They did, $1350 coin in and $700 loss for slots. Hopefully today is better, can’t count on high limit VP to save us again.

Treading water and grinding coin in on Firelink this morning. This was the biggest hit, probably the fullest board we’ve had on one of these but limited big numbers.

It was a good morning over at the Price is Right. Rat Race and Showcase bonus paid nicely. 907A4318-C19A-4DBF-BA71-65CF9139CCBD.jpeg EB3F4C97-4135-47E3-ABC8-04EA30887F73.jpeg

Nice! Wife and I played this quite a bit on our trip. We never got more than one rat. Well done!

Lunch at Momofuku was great and they did a good job with distancing the few tables they had this early. Also confirmed they would do takeout for hotel guests, so good to know it’s possible. First three photos were the things we ordered, everything after that were freebies. They always seem to bring extra stuff to the table, but this was the first time it included alcohol. Their house sake was pretty good.

Also the floor here at Cosmo is getting pretty crowded and it’s still so damn hot. It’s particularly bad in the section between the Identity desk and High Limit slots. It’s making it difficult to play for any length of time over here.

I pissed away $500 on HL VP and Top Dollar, but my wife managed to hold steady on Piggy Bankin, so we’re still slightly up on the day.

Anyone have suggestions for evening entertainment. We usually turn restaurant hopping into a full night or see a show, and neither of those work now. Unfortunately I dragged my feet on actually getting the Rail Explorers booked, so it’s now sold out. We’ve done the Neon Museum twice already, and it only has the latest slots available right now anyway.

If anyone has an idea for COVID friendly evening activities I’d love to hear them. Based on how booked the ones I’ve looked at are, filling the evening seems to be a common issues for visitors. I don’t think the casino floor is going to be particularly welcoming in the evening either, as it was already getting much busier than it was yesterday and mask compliance dropped quite a lot. Also started to see more fighting, scooters, and folks blasting their personal music. It’s already very obvious there is a huge difference here from weekday crowd to weekend.

The Neon Musuem downtown is amazing at night. Seeing all those signs lit up is so cool. It's outside so you can usually keep your distance.

We also went off-strip to see a movie at the Cannery last week and it was great to sit, watch a movie and stuff my face with popcorn.

I tried pitching that to my wife since she’s curious about what it looks like at the Love Island taping at Drai’s, but she wasn’t biting. I remember when Cosmo use to have them as part of them minibar options.

The more I read about Covid Cosmo, the more it seems they are the worst on the strip for precautions and enforcement. They just don't seem to give a damn.

Disappointing to hear about the mask situation on your flight also.

Thanks for the awesome pics. Making me more anxious for my upcoming trip. Cosmo has definitely downgraded their amenity kit. The one I got over 4th of July was much better. Red Rock is a great break. Now I want to rent a car and take a day trip. Hope you enjoy the rest of the trip and the big wins come in huge waves.

Walking the strip is gross and Caesars is a shitshow.

Bellagio busy, but not nearly as bad. Walked through the restaurant level on the way back here at Cosmo and I think we’re going to try dinner at Blue Ribbon since there was only 1 table occupied right now. We’ll save the takeout in room for tomorrow.
