After that mess of a final season of House of Cards....what a waste of time.... I've started a simple, 8-episode show: Russian Doll. Not sure if it has had a lot of hype, but I like stories involving alternate realities, space/time continuum, etc., so this show seems right in my wheelhouse. It's a "comedy," I guess, and I've seen two eps so far. They're less than 30 minutes, so there's not a huge investment in this one. It's like Bill Murray's "Groundhog Day," so far, but it's not one finite day that the main character repeats over and over. Sometimes she goes more than a day before she repeats the sequence. It's not family friendly, it's for adults, but it's intriguing thus far.

Just finished Parks and Rec... Loved it. Now searching for something else. I’m lucky there is a lot of sports on right now and it’s keeping my attention.

I haven’t read this whole thread, is the British version of The Office worth it if I’ve seen the US version?

There's nothing about Russian Doll (see above) that makes it an automatic for fans of Parks/Rec, but Amy Pohler is part of the creative team of Russian Doll.

I'm now four episodes into the show. I knew after watching the first two that I was locked in for all eight, to see where it goes and how they do it. WITHOUT SPOILING, I will say one thing in support of this show, without noting anything meaningful about the plot/show structure.

If you think this is a show that interests you, it's worth sticking with it through four episodes. I won't say my mind has been blown, but the show is unfolding in ways I wouldn't have guessed, or imagined, after watching the first episode. My expectations weren't particularly high after the first episode, they're much higher now. I may end up being disappointed at the end of the road, but I'm tempted to binge the last four episodes as soon as I get the chance, and I detest binging TV shows.

No date announced, but GLOW season 3 is expected to drop this summer, and is expected to be set in Vegas, following two seasons set in California. It will be fun to see what they do to represent '80s Vegas.

It might be on Hulu only, but this Canadian comedy show called Letterkenny has some hysterical episodes.

Yes, I am. Season 1, Episode 7. It takes a bit to get going. Dysfunctional super rich family members battle each other for control of their mega media corporation. Each member is fucked up in their own little way. I give it a 7 out of 10.

Cool Breeze, thanks. I’ll give it a shot as I’ll need something to binge once GoT concludes.

The only thing off for me was the first episode. I told my husband I hope it gets better. After that first episode it was great. Mimi Rogers was wonderful. I heard it has already renewed for next year.

The Crate & Barrel stuff, while initially interesting, got old for me after awhile... but, as it was just a side-plot, it didn't take away from my overall enjoyment of this season.
I also thought that Maddie/"Sophia" was a bit too harsh on her dad...but then, as a father, I suppose that was what the writers/director intended for my demographic - to empathize with Bosch.

Anybody watch Wine Country on Netflix? Hilarious. An all female ensemble.
Paula Pell is outstanding but all the women in the cast are so funny. Heartfelt too.

“Billions” on Showtime. Cheesy as ever with all the ridiculous references to movies, sports and history in such a ham-handed fashion but I can’t NOT watch this. By this point in the series the actors, and their respective roles, have become complete and utter parodies of themselves; but, it’s working for me because of the hilarious dialogue that, in my estimation, wasn’t meant to be that way.

This may seem like a pan, and I guess it is, but if you don’t take it seriously it’s a good watch. Paul Giamatti never disappoints.

Just wrapped up Hinterland (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2575968/). Detective series that takes place in Wales. Based on this series, everyone in Wales is always cold - even indoors - live hardscrabble lives close to the bone and reside in houses that were built sometime in the 1800's, miles away from the nearest neighbor.

Just started Traitors (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7371896/). My all time favorite subject - espionage & intelligence. The Big War has just ended and the tolerance between the Brits & 'merikanskis is a tad frayed. The US is relegated to being a consumer (from MI6) rather than a producer (this is still the OSS era). The godless communistas are infiltrating the British government but for some reason, don't appear as much of a threat to the Brits as they appear to the 'mericans.

Netflix - Parks & Recreation - Season 2. Why I never watched this before, I don't know. Pretty funny.
The Bodyguard - Season 1, Episode 3. Political intrigue and sex. Yes, Mum!

Showtime - All caught up to Billions. An interesting blend of characters. I get lost in some of the financial dealings, suffice it to say, everyone is screwing everyone. Shit train, anyone?
The Tudors, Season 2, Episode 6. Henry VIII, what a dickwad. Damn, I love Natalie Dormer.

HBO - Succession, Season 1, Episode 8. The extremely wealthy lie, cheat, steal, give up corporate secrets, back stab, do lots of drugs and adulterize. Fun for everyone.
Barry - Caught up. It took me two seasons to figure out what Hank is saying. Some really good acting.
Veep - Caught up. Once one of my favorite shows. Didn't care for the last season at all, except maybe the final scene.
Vice Principals, Season1, Episode 3 - Danny McBride is pretty funny.
Chernobyl - Season 1, Episode 1. This shows a ton of promise. The first episode was excellent.

Amazon - Justified, Season 4, Episode 8. Timothy Olyphant is pretty good as the gun-totin' wise-crackin' Deputy Marshal in Appalachia. I miss his foxy ass ex-wife from previous seasons, but he did get it on with a foxy ass bar keep. Foxy ass milfs, you can't beat that.
Bosch, Season 5, Episode 7. I mean this is a good show. The acting is great. But some of the interwoven plot lines are a little hard to follow. Maybe it's just me.
