Every floor has Tower Suites on the side closest to the Palazzo, not just the highest. The design was to have "columns." Each "side" has its own elevator banks, and by dividing the hotel into columns that kept the halls shorter. Access to the Tower elevators are only on the Tower side, and likewise for the Resort side. Still, I sometimes go through the connector door and down in the resort elevators, depending on where I’m going in the hotel. personally, I liked the Bellagio design better, where most of the suites were on the top floors. That made the the elevators "express" to your floor, but sometimes you hade a heck of a walk down a very long hall. We always took a penthouse near the VIP elevators to avoid that problem.
I remember once when I was checking into the Wynn TS I casually asked the lady behind the desk what the lowest floor the Tower Suites were on and she told me they were as low as the fifth or sixth floor. I’ve always been in the 50s with a golf course view.
lol, the TS hallways are usually pretty empty, so for my trip there this weekend, I have thought about dressing the little fanatic in a powder blue outfit and have him stand at the end of a long hallway beckoning us to come play with him!
A little off subj but does the Wynn and Encore spas connect underground or do you have to walk thru the casino? I've been down there many times staying at both hotels but can't remember if they connect.
They do not connect, at least not for guests. (I've been on the floor below the main floor, which is like a mini city in and of itself for employees. That might connect but would be irrelevant for guests.) Guests have to walk on the main floor from one to the other though you technically don't have to walk through the casino. It's why if I have a very short trip that is spa-intensive I prefer staying in Encore as although both spas are great, I prefer Encore and my long-time therapist, one of whom has become a friend, works in the Encore spa. I like just walk from my Encore room to the resort elevator (not the TS elevator), sometimes with my robe on, and head straight down to the Encore spa.
Thank you Flowers! I thought that's how it was but just couldn't remember....that would be an awfully long underground hallway from Encore to Wynn. I actually prefer the Encore rooms and TS's decor but like the Wynn pool much better and don't like hiking thru the casino from Encore to get to the pool and back. I used to say the Encore adult pool was my favorite but the last few years there have been too many times that we arrive only to find they're closed it for a private party.
Don't hike thru the casino. Hike the conference hallways. They may be quiet. Last time I walked Wynn to Encore the conference centers, they were very busy with a poker event; a robe and spa wear would have been some of the less noteworthy attire compared to many of the poker players.
There is also some impressive art pieces on the walls to see if you're going that route. (if I remember correctly.)
There are two small-ish pools. The one across the bridge I believe is adults only. The food/drink service is notably better/quicker but they're small and I usually see a line in the morning to snag seats. Location is great if you need to run up to the room or feeling the urge to pop in and gamble.
