I haven't been to the one in Vegas, but I've been to the BIG one in Switzerland (Baselworld). It's more of a industry convention rather than a show.

As long as you've done your homework on Rolex watches first and know what to look for/stay away from, you might be able to find a good deal.

What's most important is that you buy from someone reputable. If you ever end up unknowingly buying a stolen/lost Rolex and when you send it in for service, Rolex will confiscate it from you. First thing they do is run the serial numbers through a database. Unfortunately, you can not just call up Rolex and have them run the serial numbers for you before you send it in.

Here's a reference chart for Rolex serial numbers. It will give you an idea of what to look for when shopping around. Remember, it's not about finding one for a certain price, it's about actually getting what you paid for. You can find a Daytona for $9,000 but you might unknowingly be buying one from 1999 that's only worth $7,000. They all look the same to the unknowing eye so be careful.

On particularly large wins, I've bought watches (quick deals on TZ if reputable seller; sometimes I've wired the funds out while still in LV, same day as the win), and/or taken friends out to nice dinners back home.

The one and only time we ever had a sizeable win was our wedding night. Paid for the wedding, the hotel and all of our trip expenses.

Any future winnings would just go in the vacation fund.

If I win $2,000+ on our trip next month I'm gonna definitely pull the trigger on an engagement ring.

TI bought me a nice Rolex after some roulette a year or so ago. Very generous of them!

Costume jewellery, hardwood flooring in the living room, fancy cat window seat (that my late old fatty Oscar broke). And the one time I my friend and I were boozing and won some money and ended up at the adults only store and bought some battery operated things I don't want to discuss further, let's just say I surprised the crap out of myself when I woke up the next morning and opened up the shopping bag and quickly threw it out.

I think I remember your TR. I would love to come home with a Submariner in a few weeks but it's gonna have to be an epic weekend cause we are starting a new house build this summer and DW would probably want the funds for some 8k front door she found

Steve Wynn bought me a beautiful 50" plasma TV in 2009 (he's since gotten it back though lol)
Next on my list would be a custom made suit from Brioni or Canali.

An iPad Air with an Otterbox Defender Case
    An iPod Touch 4th Gen
    A Nexus 7
    A Threesome. LOL.
    An overpriced annual gym membership
A nice pair of noise canceling Bose headphones
    Bluetooth speakers
Three Calvin Klein Steel slim fit shirts
A good pair of Nike sneakers and a pair of Kenneth Cole jeans from Premium Outlets North
A nice ergonomic computer desk and very comfy office chair
    Books
    Money towards cancer research

Most of the time though I would rather have my winnings directed to a great meal. I find that it is better to have my money towards a great experience than to acquire stuff.

Always said I would buy an expensive watch, when the time came I couldn't justify dropping that much money on myself. Instead bought my wife a diamond/sapphire pendant from Wynn & Co. They had a display case of jewellery from a store they had over at Encore that they had closed. The jewellery was 50% off, the sales girl showed me a sapphire ring on sale for
$30k. After I stopped laughing I spotted my wife's pendant on marked down and knew right away that was the perfect Christmas gift. The next day we were over at City Centre and dropped by Mikimoto Pearls. The first strand I saw was $100k and was ready to walk out, the sales person told us they had a great sale and that some items were 50% off, I ended up walking out with a necklace that Mikimoto made to support breast cancer research. My Mom being a breast cancer survivor of 10 year was in blown away when she opened it Christmas morning.

My watch will come eventually come.

My 21st Birthday I won $600 lol I bought these SMH. They were $300... I still have them and laugh every time I pull them out.

I won $620 on my last trip, didn't waste too much of it to be honest. I was in the midst of planning a trip elsewhere so I wanted to keep it for that. But my friend did make me buy a $30 Britney Spears "Work B**ch!" phone case LOL!!! I still have it on my phone haha.

When I hit $1100, my Mom had just bought me an iPhone, I paid her back lol. Also I was just about to lose my job (boss hadn't been paying us), so I joked with my co-worker that it was my paycheck haha.

If I won big today I'd probably buy a nice handbag... if I won A LOT... a nicer handbag lol and I'd probably book another trip in a fancy suite haha. Then put some down on a new car I'm looking at. I feel too responsible these days.

About 5 years ago after a great craps win I bought a 14' craps table along with the accessories (chips, pucks, sticks, dice) I use it all the time especially when entertaining friends and other couples.

I don't usually make any big purchases after I win at a casino, I'll usually just put it in the bank or put it towards my next trip. The only thing I've actually gone out and bought outside of a nice dinner was last year after winning about $1,500 at blackjack at a local casino. I decided to finally pull the trigger on a new driver. I was thinking about getting a new one anyways and decided to pull the trigger and ended up with a beautiful Titleist 913D3.

    more money....more problems...taken care of.

I find it hard to get excited about a win unfortunately for the same reason.

WOW, extra money!! What am I going to do with this??! Buy another ticket to Vegas!! I realize it's a cycle.
