I'm kind of crushed, bellagio display is under construction so I won't get to show it to my mom. It was under construction the last time I was here also. Bad timing for one of my favorite things. Guess the wife needs to let me come more often:)

Last time I was at Four Queens (late Aug-2012), I asked for a quiet room facing Golden Nugget. I got a room in the south tower (purple room key). Since there is no stage nearby, I never noticed any noise at any time of the day. I often went up to the room between 7-10 for a little break and it was always quiet.

My brother has become the self proclaimed expert on the Four Queens. He says you must get a room in the South tower, with room numbers ending in 26 or 28 on any floor above the 5th, if you don't want noise to be an issue.

I've double booked there and checked out the rooms, but never slept there. He sounds pretty sure of himself.

That advise is worth what you paid for it.:poke:

Looks like the south tower is the way to go, too late for us. Great night sleep last night at the flamingo and we are facing the strip on the linq construction end. No noise and awesome room. No $20 trick, I just smiled real pretty and asked nice:), and we got upgraded.
Headed for the lionshare this morning and gonna enjoy our full day on the strip. No rain so far, it's sunny, woohoo.

No big wins last night, played a lot of roulette and came away down just a little. Saw the cops from that strip cop show filming in front of the flamingo, they had some guy cuffed on the hood, but no excitement. Pretty humiliating i would guess, having 200 people watching your finest moment. Shame can be a powerful deterrent:). 2 football bets survived until tonight, thank you Denver. Need Baltimore and Oakland tonight.

Going back to how crowded downtown was on a Saturday night, is that typical? I plan on checking it out on the Saturday I'm there. Are the casinos crowded, too?

Not sure if the crowd is typical for downtown. That was my first Saturday downtown. It just seemed busy. I was there for 4 days in march and it was never as busy as Saturday. The casinos were busy, but there was plenty of open machines at the plaza, California, and some others. You'll be fine and have a good time. I'm up $250 today, yippee

Heading home now. Crazy rain, last second win, and more to follow when I get home. One picture of the drive to the airport.

Huge score, but I have now lost all my winnings. That picture was on paradise. I will post more when I get home. If I can figure it out I have amazing video of cars going through it. Downtown is still hopping on a Tuesday.
